Rent the entire second floor of a three story second row beach cottage. The second level is the nicest in the home because it has all of the decks and a very open floorplan with two private entrances. Long term renters occupy the third and first floors. Each floor has a dedicated outside entrance and the interior stairs between levels are separated by locked doors. The second level has covered and uncovered decks with ocean views. This floor is 1400 sq feet, 3 bedroom and 2 baths. It sleeps 10 in beds but we prefer to rent to max 8. It has a kitchen with dishwasher refrigerator and stove. There is a living area and a dining area. Washer dryer is in the unit. Public beach access is 150 feet from the driveway (less than a 1 minute walk).
Checkout and .Checkin days are flexible with a 5 day min stay.
The driveway can accommodate 8 cars, but 3 spaces are reserved for the long term renters. So we have to limit the number of parking spots to 4. We have dish network and high speed wireless internet.
Unlike many beach rentals we have decided to include linens, but you still need to bring your own towels. This adds to the cost of our cleaning but we think it is worth is because of the convenience. Who want to bring sheets along on their vacation and then find out they do not even fit the beds and then have to wash sheets as soon as they return home. N shore Dr does not have much traffic even in high season which is nice and the house is close to everything.
The long term renters number 2 on the top floor and 4 on the bottom. They are friendly and helpful and fully understand that the second floor is for short term renters. So you will have the privacy of a typical condo even though this is a single family house.
You have two options for damage protection. You can pay a 59 dollar fee that covers 1500 in damages or you can pay 300 refundable deposit. When you ask about the property please tell me if you would rather have the 300 dollar refundable deposit so you do not have to pay the 59 dollar non-refundable fee for insurance. I can do either, but by default the insurance is assumed unless you tell me otherwise.
