Charming, Brand New Luxury Greenbuilt home in the RiverArtsDistrict/West Asheville. Only 1.5 miles to downtown Asheville, and .8 miles from the restaurants, bars, and breweries of West Asheville and River Arts District. A deck on every level for grilling and panoramic, Rockwellesque views of the industrial River Arts District and Downtown Asheville against a mountainous backdrop. Large windows and natural light in a spacious open floor plan. Connect to the greenway trail and walk along the French Broad River to New Belgium Brewery or down the street to Amboy Park with the kids. Wake up to the sunrise, sway of the treetops, and some mornings, a mystical fog coming through the trees. Each level has it's own deck and each bedroom has it's own bathroom. We maintain a space in the home on the bottom two floors, separated by a locked door and access through an alternate entrance. We spend very little time at home, so chances are we won't bump into each other unless you want to, though we are always available for questions by phone.

About Joshua Phillips
We are local musicians who have been in Asheville for nearly 20 years. We have traveled to many cities throughout the years but remain here in Asheville, as it continues to be our favorite place to call home. We love it here because of the unmatched live music scene, night life, outdoor activities, people's friendly and open attitude, and over all pride we locals have in calling Asheville home. We love meeting new people, want you to enjoy it here the way that we do, and are happy to help you get around as much as you need from us.
Joshua Phillips purchased this House in 2017
Why Joshua Phillips chose West Asheville
We purchased this property as it has one of my favorite views of the River Arts District. With a Freight Train against a beautiful mountain backdrop, it reminds me of a Norman Rockwell painting; thus, The Rockwell. Beautifully laid out, great attention to detail, tons of natural light, and a viewing deck on every floor, I love to sit out on the porch and watch the train go by. It is magical to wake up in the morning, in the tree tops, looking through the large windows to a beautiful sunrise, or a mystical thick fog where only the closest trees come through. Just a 6 minute walk to the River Arts District, 10 minute walk to West Asheville, and 25 minute walk to Downtown, this house on a hill is central to anywhere you want to be.
What makes this House unique
As we are close to the heart of the River Arts District, West Asheville, and Downtown, we have a few bikes that we can offer for you to get around. We also are just above the Greenway Trail, which you can take along the river for miles, or just 5 minutes to the New Belgium Brewery.

Property was clean and ready for our stay. All four of us enjoyed the experience.
Asheville was welcoming.....although rainy weather persisted we enjoyed the 3 day visit.
Best place to stay in Asheville
This house is amazing! My friends and I stayed here for 4 days and wished we could have stayed 40. The house itself is so big and clean and comfortable, there is everything you could ever need in the house. The porches were the best part, you can just sit for hours and look at the view. Joshua was easy to communicate with and a cool guy. We loved the neighborhood and went for many walks and jogs and everyone was so nice that you passed by. The house is so close to everything, we were able to walk to many places and when we had to drive it was only a 5 minute drive. Highly advise anyone who is coming to Asheville to stay here. We hope to again!
Great woodsy location in quiet safe neighborhood
Clean, new & comfortable. Great windows & decks looking out into the tree tops. 2-storeys so lots of stairs, but they’re wide, not too high, with substantial & attractive bannister. Well equipped. Joshua very quick to respond to queries!🤗
Great location; easy to travel to all districts of Asheville
House is very stylish and in a great location. Very comfortable for a family of 4 or two couples — great accommodations for 4 adults and AT MOST 1-2 small children.
Place was great and super comfy. Had everything we needed supplied. Nicely located in the west Asheville arts district. Good restaurants etc.
We would definitely rent this again!
This home was way beyond our expectations. The house had everything we needed and more. The location was perfect as it was close to downtown as well as the River Arts District. The finishes in the home are beautiful and we loved the artwork. The owner was helpful in all aspects and readily available. We will stay here again when visiting Asheville.
