I was looking for a peaceful retreat close to Cromer town and seafront, but away from the hustle and bustle. I found it here.
The property was clean and well provisioned for my short stay. In easy walking distance (5 minutes or less) I found a Chinese takeaway, brilliant chip shop and convenience store / post office. A Morrison’s supermarket is a 5 minute drive away and the town of Cromer with it’s many shops, restaurants, tea rooms and pubs is a 20 minute walk. Even though it rained lots during my stay, walking around was easy.
Whilst the front door of the cottage opens directly on to the street, I found it very private. Parking on street outside was easy. Once inside the cottage, I found everything I needed including a wealth of information about things to see, do and eat in the local area.
The internal stairs to the bedrooms are narrow and steep which may be a problem for some, but otherwise I found the cottage comfortable and practical. I would certainly stay here again.
Jeanne was a wonderful and thoughtful host. Everything we needed was catered for and there were lots of extra touches that made the cottage welcoming and comfortable. We’d highly recommend it.
It’s a good 15-20 min walk into Cromer, but along a lovely coastal path or through town. There is easy parking at the house too.

Lovely cottage just a couple of picky niggles
Tv channels didn’t work properly
Kitchen knives need replacing coating coming off the blade
Lovely, well-equipped character cottage
We had a wonderful time living out of this very comfortable, well-equipped cottage situated on the outskirts of Cromer. The location was an ideal base from which to travel out from by car.
The cottage was very clean, surprisingly spacious, well decorated, and was fitted with a lovely modern kitchen that contained some of the small items you'd usually forget to bring (such as clingfilm and tinfoil!), although two local shops are within walking distance. A wood burning stove (complete with supplied wood) provided a nice feature, as did a rear rooftop balcony with coffee tables (the balcony felt secure for small children and is accessed through a lockable door from the twin bedroom). The cottage has some very steep stairs, typical of the period and style of cottage, which could be an issue for anyone with mobility issues, or for parents of small children (a travel stair gate would be advised). For entertainment, the cottage supplies a selection of books, puzzle games, TV, DVDs (although more PG-rated DVDs would be welcome) and WiFi access.
The owner is very friendly and easy to deal with, and provided a little welcome pack upon our arrival. We extended our stay whilst there and would definitely want to book again.
It was a pleasure to host your trip and thanks for your feedback. Unfortunately the staircase is unable to fit a stair gate which is why we say unsuitable for younger children. Hope to welcome you back soon.
