About Hedvig Gustafsson
My name is Hedvig and I am born and raised in Stockholm. I love traveling and experience new places, meet new people and cultures. I have been in in the service and hotel business for a fairly long time as my family own a mansion and hostel on the island of Gotland where I have been helping out with the rentals. I really want you to experience the best of Stockholm and will make sure to give you tips on the "must see", my favourite restaurants in the area and where to shop. In short, I will do my out most for you to get the best out of Stockholm during your stay.
Why Hedvig Gustafsson chose Gamla Stan
Unique penthouse apartment in the heart of Old Town Stockholm. The apartment is nicely situated on the calm street Svartmangatan (just across the street from German Church) only a few meters from the vibrant shopping street Stora Nygatan and Stortorget with the Nobel Museum. The house is built in the 15th century and the house interior combine old foundation with modern design. As it is a medieval house, there is no elevator in the building. The pentahouse is situated on the forth floor. The lower floor is tastefully decorated with a hallway, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, dining room and bedroom for two persons with a fire place and a walk-in closet. The old wooden stairs lead up to the spacious upper floor with additional two beds and a seating area with a sofa bed sitting two persons. The upper floor also offers a magnificent view over Old Town and you can see as far as to the City Hall and the Royal Castle. The penthouse is well suited for families, business trips or an exclusive stay by yourself.

This was the perfect location for a family of four to explore Stockholm. The owner was very very responsive and helpful. It was clean, and we felt very safe and the views were spectacular! I would recommend this location and the old world charm of Gamla Stan!
Perfect apt in the old town
Fabulous apartment in the oldest part of Stockholm. Very quiet, clean and just perfect for two friends. Did struggle getting suitcase up the four flights of stairs but the benefit was we could sleep with the windows open and only hear the church bells. Highly recommend
Gamla stan is located in the heart of Stockholm so you have walking distance to all different parts:
City Central/Norrmalm: The City Center is the place for affordable shopping, especially for the young and trendy. Drottninggatan and the area between Sergels Torg and Kungsträdgården offer a mix of clothing chains and large-scale classic Stockholm department stores. Åhléns City, MOOD and NK among the largest department stores with most of the best Swedish brands and international designers. (20 minutes walk/1 stop with metro to T-centralen)
Södermalm The blocks south of Folkungagatan are packed with interesting, cool and creative shops specializing in clothing, design, jewelry, knickknacks, vintage, houseware, music and much more. Several fashion brands have their own stores in this district. There are also scores of restaurants and cafés. The atmosphere is laid-back, yet highly aware. In the warm months, Nytorget Square is a bustling social scene. (20-30 minutes walk/1 or 2 stops with metro)
Östermalm makes for an interesting contradiction. It’s a posh residential neighborhood. But it also has the highest concentration of nightclubs in the city, found around Stureplan. Bibliotekstan is the city’s most affluent shopping district, with exclusive Scandinavian and international brands. A slow saunter between the food stalls in the Östermalmshallen market hall is also mandatory. Take a walk along Strandvägen, and enjoy the magnificent buildings and wonderful seaside views. (30-40 minutes walk/2 stop with Metro to station Östermalmstorg)
You can also walk down to the harbor 5-10 minutes and go by boat either to Djurgården or further out in the archipelago.
