Why Alessandro Sgaravatti chose Arquà Petrarca
Casa Zorzi is an oasis of beauty and charm, perched on a cobblestone street in the Euganean Hills. The apartments are clean and spacious, decorated with appropriate regional and rustic simplicity and offering everything we needed. The Casa is an old stone structure, matching the rest of the village with deep windows and shutters , and also features some nice conveniences such as instant hot water and a mini-split that proves extra cooling options. The garden of the Casa has a showstopper ancient wisteria vine, as well as plenty of outdoor seating from which to enjoy the lawn and flowers in the gated yard. The kitchen is small but it's easy to cook a simple meal and there's plenty of pans, crockery and utensils on hand. But why cook much when there are so many wonderful restaurants within walking distance? Arqua Petrarca is a very small and very beautiful historic village that attracts many tourists, history buffs, hikers and bicycling enthusiasts but as it is also best enjoyed on foot, it is never overcrowded.

Amazing apartment and fabulous location!!
The apartment was exactly a described, very comfortable bed and nicely equipped kitchen for simple meals. The town was amazing! It was like going back in time, the apartment was half way from the upper and lower squares. Make sure you have your hiking shoes, lots of walking up and down the beautiful cobbled streets. I'd definitely stay here again, make sure you take some time to tour the castle and wine cellar!!
beautiful location, quaint apartment, great host
beautiful place, my daughters loved the castle pool and vibe, town is just rich in beauty, the osteria was incredible
Great location, great host!
Arqua Petrarcha odds a beautiful town on a hill. It is set in most of beautiful trees and farms. Conveniently located. Arrigo is a great host and speaks very good English. Don't miss the smaller towns nearby: Este and Montagnana.
We are already thinking about our return to Casa Zorzi!
The apartment was perfect and had everything our family of three desired! Arrigo was an amazing host that helped us customize our stay - hikes in the Eugean Hills, non-touristy and special trip to Venice, & a visit to a Bernini garden nearby complete with a labyrinth. It was a memorable trip and there is so much more to do in the area. Thank you Arrigo. We appreciate everything you did for us!
..thanks to you!
...you were very spcial guests and I really hope to welcome you again in the next furture.
I wish you all the best!
A little piece of paradise in a beautiful part of Italy, close to Venice and Padua
The apartment is simple, somewhat 'old-fashioned', but charming and extremely clean. There is a lovely garden and the views over the countryside are wonderful. There are some major cultural centres (Venice, Padua, Verona, Vicenza ) all within an hour of Arqua Petrarcha and some lovely towns close by such as Montagnana, Este, Monselice, but it was great to come back to Arqua after a day's busy sightseeing. Arrigo, our host, was extremely helpful and well-informed and advised us on travelling around the region and historical aspects. Highly recommended and we can't wait to go back.
Wonderful experience in Arqua Petrarca!
Highly recommend. What a beautiful village Arqua is and Arrigo is a wonderful host! We truly felt part of this enchanting little Italian village. The apartment was charming, clean and has everything you need. I wish we had more time there, hopefully we can return someday.
This charming, nestled in the heart of the Euganean Hills Natural Park, is a proud member of “The Most Beautiful Villages in Italy” an organization dedicated to promoting "the great heritage of History, Art, Culture, Environment and Traditions found in small Italian villages" that are unique and offer a special experience.
Surrounding Arquà Petrarca visitors will find the world renown Terme Euganee Spas; the impressive historical garden of Valsanzibio; 4 golf courses; the small medieval towns of Monselice, Este e Montagnana; Praglia e Carceri Abbeys; and several wonderful Venetian Villas.
Monselice train station (2,8 miles) and Monselice A15 highway entrance (3,5 miles), make the town of Arquà Petrarca an ideal point of departure for sightseeing tours of Venice and the Venetian cultural towns of Padova, Vicenza, Verona and Treviso.
Arquà Petraca owes its renown to the eternal fame of the poet Francesco Petrarca.
