Close to Acadia National Park. This new 2 bedroom pine cottage overlooks Abrams Pond. Great fishing and beautiful sunsets. Cottage is easily accessible and completely furnished. Private road allows great biking and safe walking and playing for children. Private dock for swimming on other side of cottage overlooks beautiful view of rolling blueberry fields and mountains. Cottage rental includes two kayaks, canoe and all the safety jackets. I have renters that keep returning for years. They absolutely love it here and don't want to go home.

Secluded For Sure
We had a super tough time finding the house, especially because the address, GPS and actual location of the house don’t match. We ended up calling the owner in order to get better directions. This house is definitely seculded....dirt road type of secluded so if that’s what you’re looking for, it’s perfect for you! Overall, the house was very nice because it was on the lake itself however the house was filled with dust, especially the upstairs ceiling fan, around the windows and any surface that’s black (tv, tv console...etc.) so that was a bit of a bummer to see. The house is about an hour from Bar Harbor and 25 minutes to Ellsworth where you can find some bars and restaurants. Overall, nice stay.
Really enjoyed the stay and location. Pretty remote so show up during the day to get your bearings!
Host was great and communicative. Definitely ask for specific directions as Google can’t get you all the way there. We lost power due to a storm out of the host’s control and she was great in handling that. Would stay here again.
The perfect getaway!
We had such a great stay at the cabin it was hard to leave and head back to reality but we look forward to booking it again in the future! It was exactly what we were hoping for and even more. The location was perfect, away from everything on a secluded dirt road but yet still within driving distance to Acadia National Park. We drove into Acadia each day and thoroughly enjoyed the gorgeous views along the drive. The cabin and its location are so nice you could easily spend all day just enjoying it! The water access right in the backyard, beautiful/quiet pond and very cozy cabin. Truly peaceful and a great escape! It has everything you need! We brought our two dogs and they enjoyed splashing in the water and playing in the spacious yard. There canoe was great! We took it out for a stroll around the pond and attempted to fish. I look forward to staying in the future! Heather was a great hostess! Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!
It was a pleasure having you and thank you for coming. We have a lot of updates plan for 2019 and looking forward to opening our cottage again for those that just wanna get away from the hectic world. Have a great winter!
Beautiful Property - peaceful & quiet
On a quick October trip to Acadia, found this quaint cabin to enjoy the countryside. Located right on the lake down a rural road, the property was a wonderful experience. We only stayed 1 night, but wish we could have stayed for a week. The owner was very pleasant to communicate with, even letting us know of detailed directions ahead of time.
Beautiful, Quiet, fabulous stay!
The cabin was so warm and comfortable, we enjoyed the peace and quiet being by the beautiful lake. It was enjoyable to cuddle-up on the couch and enjoy the view. It was too rainy while we were there to enjoy the lake activities, I bet it would be even more fun in the summer! For a quiet fall retreat this was a perfect spot!
Beautiful location, rustic cabin
Very secluded and quiet cabin on the lake. Beautiful views and very peaceful. We definitely had a couple of hiccups on our stay. The heavy rain overnight revealed a terrible leak at the back door. I sent a message first thing in the morning to notify the owner, but have not yet gotten a response. The cabin was also quite unclean. The toilet was visibly dirty, there were dirty dishes in the dishwasher, everything was lined with dust, and there were piles of dead bugs on the floor. Would be a great stay for anyone who’s very comfortable in rustic conditions.
