1,700 sf; private beach, large terraces; resort style property; HEATED pools
I work for Westwood Holdings Group, a publicly traded (NYSE:WHG) investment management company in Dallas. Grew up in Canada and St. Louis and came to Texas for college. Enjoy traveling to new places but also enjoy the benefits of vacation homes as it allows for the time to meet and enjoy local friends, the culture and practice Spanish. (Additional vacation home is located in Lake Tahoe www.vrbo.com/429007 ). Renting is NOT my priority. My attitude for renting is to share these wonderful locations and homes with respectful guests and share the local culture. The income offsets operating costs and importantly assists in providing income and tips to Elena, my housekeeper, and Victor, whom is your guest rep. I am pleased to be of help in any way.
Mark purchased this Condo in 2006
Why Mark chose Cozumel
We purchased at Residencias Reef because it is a quiet, tropical resort style development with a large natural private beach; thus, feels like "vacation" as soon as we arrive. We feel safe on the island; the people are friendly; the quality of the activities and restaurants are excellent, yet much less expensive than the eastern Caribbean and Hawaii; the water color and temperature are spectacular; cozumel is never crowded (except by the cruise ship terminals); it's fun to be in a different culture and practice Spanish; the golf course is never crowded (except in the morning when numerous cruise ships are docked). (Cozumel is a quiet island and not really for those seeking lots of people for a party nightlife).
What makes this Condo unique
Fantastic views from the living room/Master bedroom and terraces; Private/quiet beach; beautiful tropical development; 2 Heated pools; away from town and the cruise ships so very quiet; short walk to beach clubs for lunch and entertainment for kids.
Please consider the following guidelines when booking this property:

We will be back
Comfortable, clean, well kept, helpful locals Victor and Elena, we loved it.
3 king beds were comfortable, and the ocean views from the 2 balconies were mui bien!
Fantastic - as always!!
I have now seen several condo's at Residencias Reef and Marks is by FAR the best. All bedrooms are comfortable and airy with great airconditioning which we never use - just leave the windows open for a great breeze. Our family loves sitting out on the large deck and when we've had enough of the kids its great to read quietly on the deck off of the master bedroom. We had friends for dinner on this trip and Mark thoughtfully provides extra folding chairs for the patio table to comfortably seat our group. Elena and Victor do a great job of making us feel at home and are very helpful. The condo itself is spotless - except for things like spices and coffee filters that make our stay even easier. The property itself is wonderful. Great pools with just enough guests to make it fun! The beach is gorgeous and we love the scuba access off of the pier next door. This was at least our 5th or 6th trip to Mark's condo - I wouldn't stay anywhere else!! We'll be back soon!!!!
Great location! Nice condo!
Nice location in the complex! Nice having 3 bedrooms! Close to the back pool! Quiet at night!
Everything went smoothly and as promised. Lovely apartment in a great location of Cozumel.
We stayed almost 2 weeks at condo 6230, Residencias Reef. It was a wonderful vacation. The condo is very nice with new furniture and good beds. The kitchen has most everything you need. There are 2 decks, one off the master bedroom, and one off the living room. The view is amazing. We cooked breakfast each day in the condo, and ate out for all other meals. Our favorite place to eat was a little taco stand just North of the condo. It’s called Dona Chely. They make the best tacos ever! We also liked Alberto’s, which is on the beach and you don’t have to drive to town. For burgers we liked Kelley’s Sports Bar downtown. Had fun golfing at the Cozumel Country Club, went deep sea fishing with the boat La Marley (caught 2 Mahi Mahi), parasailed, swam, and sat on the beach. Victor arranged for the fishing boat to pick us up at the Secrets Pier. And a restaurant downtown called La Cocina Caribe cooked up our fish! We arranged for Elena to clean the condo every other day. It was nice to have the same trusting person to provide that service. There is about 10 yards of rocky coral at the shore of the beach, but out farther is great for swimming. So be sure to bring your water shoes. Overall, we loved it and would come back in a heart beat.
Fabulous Location and Host!
The condo was in the perfect location for our family - private and quiet, but close enough to the "action" that we didn't feel isolated. Mark is an incredible host - very responsive and helpful, before, during and after our stay. We loved the beach and the location. The diving was incredible - clear, warm water with 100% visibility! Salty Endeavors picked us up at the Secrets dock, which is just steps from the condo. We bought food at several different local stores - the Sam's Club actually had the best produce and some familiar products but still local, authentic Cozumel products. We also ate out plenty - really loved Chalingos where we ate in the owners' living room! So cool to experience authentic Mayan/Cozumel food, which was delicious and cheap! We also loved Kinta. It was a great trip. I hope we can go back! Thanks, Mark!
Golf(Jack Nicklaus course), It's fun to rent a car/Jeep to explore the undeveloped side of the island with packing a lunch to to the sandy beaches and big waves; small shops and restaurants along the way! There are several public 'beach clubs' within short walking distance from the condo with activities for kids, restaurants and water sports
