Sweet little Maine cabin!!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay here in the cabin! The location was so fun across from Echo lake and a short drive to the lighthouse. Also not too far from Bar Harbor and the main Acadia National Park!!

This cabin was a great value and had all we needed to make great memories together with our children!! It was fun to unplug for a while :).

Comfortable and quaint

  • 4 of 5

Overall great stay. Cabin was perfectly stocked with everything needed and nothing that wasn't. The sheets and towels were not only a nice addition that most don't offer, also clean and super comfortable. Beds were nice as well. The noise of traffic was a turnoff, but we spent most of our days out and the evenings were not so bad. The view by the water at night is amazing, and great spot for kids to swim. Glad we tried it out!

This was the perfect place for us! We really enjoyed it.

  • 5 of 5

The cabin had a very homey feel to it and we felt like we had gone back in time staying there. It felt like true Maine! Everything we needed was provided. Pepper was very helpful with suggestions on where to hike, rent bikes, etc. We would definitely stay there again!

Wonderful Cabin in the Woods!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is tucked off the road in the woods. On a clear night the stars are super bright and you can hear the sounds of nature all around you. We walked 1/2 mile down the road to the trailhead for Acadia Mountain and it is right across the street from echo lake!

Would recommend this property and if we are back in the area hope to stay here again.

Cozy, cute and comfortable!

  • 4 of 5

This place was just what we were looking for. I stayed here with my husband and our two teen daughters. The other three members of my family would probably give it 5 stars, but I knocked off a star for a couple things. The bathroom made me feel like I was at summer camp, but not in the good way. It is super basic and the shower was tiny.

Everything else has the good summer camp feel though! There was a wood stove which we needed at night to stay warm, and my husband loved that little daily project. If you had toddlers or younger children, you might not want to use it though because you could suffer a burn from touching it. Probably not an issue in July and August, but it was pretty chilly in early June.

We had read the reviews about the road noise, but it really wasn't a big deal at all. We live in a city though, so we are used to nighttime noise. We did hear the loons on the lake across the street though, and that was lovely.

In short, we would rent it again, and would recommend to friends who we know who like to rough it a little.

Great views

  • 4 of 5

We loved the location, a quick drive to the many beautiful areas in and around the island. The "spot" across the road was perfect for two chairs, a bottle of wine and a perfect lakeside evening. Enjoyed the visiting deer that munched on acorns around the cabin as we watched from the front porch. It is a cabin, so not plush, but everything you need in a clean and efficient layout. You can hear cars passing on Rte 102, but you can also hear the loons on the lake!
