Well maintained rustic cabin with easy access to Acadia

  • 5 of 5

Everything was as described. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great location for exploring the island.

Wonderful Cabin in the woods

  • 5 of 5

This is a perfect place for family time. No tv and off the grid a bit. Kayaking right across the street and close to all major attractions of the area. The cabin is well stocked with a lobster pot and a charcoal grill for your Maine culinary experiences. The owner leaves the wood stove set up for a chilly night and the place is very, very clean. The owner is Also very responsive and gets back to you quickly with any inquiries you might have. All in all my family had a phenomenal experience in the cabin and would definitely stay there again on our next trip to Maine.

Perfect little cabin

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay as this cozy little cabin. It a good location for people wanting to explore Acadia without having to stay at a campground.

Super little retro cottage with lots of road noise

  • 4 of 5

We had a wonderful stay at this no frills but all you need cottage. Very clean and well equipped. The only drawback is the very busy, noisey road between the cottage and Echo Lake. Aside from this we loved our stay at this sweet little cottage!

Another Great Stay in the Cabin!

  • 5 of 5

We just had a second wonderful stay here! The cabin is outfitted with everything you need, well situated between Acadia and Southwest Harbor, and we love swimming at the lake across the street on our own little private spit of beach. We hope to return again next year!

Beautiful cabin, well situated for lake and park, but close to thoroughfare.

  • 4 of 5

A charming 1940's cabin - but unlike many Maine vintage places, updated with modern conveniences and tasteful decor, plus sheets provided - made this a great place to hang and explore the island. The porch is lovely, and you're just steps down the driveway from an easy, underutilized entry point to the beautiful Echo lake. Also the owner is nearby and very kind and responsive. The only downside, as listed in other reviews, is the proximity to the main thoroughfare up and down the coast to Southwest Harbor, so, especially during the day, there is traffic of cars and the occasional truck, so despite its nestling in the woods, you're not as "away" as you might feel elsewhere, but all the pluses outweighed that.
