Great Condo !! Great Location!!

  • 5 of 5

This condo was incredible. The views from the two upstairs rooms are breathtaking. The property was very clean and well organized. Our group of 2 couples stayed for 4 nights and could have stayed there forever. Upon arrival, the condo was warm and a nice bottle of wine was waiting for us on the counter of the awesome kitchen. The only down fall was that we could not get WiFi. Probably made the trip better w/out emails from work. I would recommend this condo to anyone. For those with children, this place would be great. The condo is child proof and there are games and accomodations for kids everywhere. I will stay here again.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your gracious comments. So sorry about the WiFi. We will look into the problem immediately - things were working well when we visited Frisco in early January.

Huge potential, just didn't meet the expectations

  • 3 of 5

We were diappointed for many things. Some area really small minor things, but added all together it became very frustrating.

-Toaster needs knobs to push it down, we had to use pot holders or wooden spoons to get the toaster button to push down.

-Can only use 1 shower at a time due to water pressure and no other water can be on (dishwasher, washing machine) - toilet flushing makes the shower go to a drizzle too

-Parking in front of the stairs, once we were told not to do it, we did not, but they felt it necessary to hang a sign up <24 hours later while we watched

-Dryer takes 2-3 cycles to get a regular load of clothes dry, so it was pretty useless with wet ski clothes and 9 people.

-Hot tub did not work. Property manager was kind enough to let us use another pool/hot tub a few blocks away, but not the same as being outside the door

-Refrigerator took nearly 24 hours to cool down once we changed the setting. Milk and other perishables were only mildly cool the next am

-Bed in 2nd bedroom upstairs moved a lot and was very uncomfortable, pull out in the same room have super thin mattress and not usable for an adult

-WiFi was slow

-TV upstairs was old tube TV

-No garbage disposal - just another small thing that was very frustrating

-No propane in the tanks for the grill.

Good things:

-Lots of towels

-Lots of pots, pans and Tupperware

-Really liked the open pantry with baskets

-Location was great - easy access to I-70, walking to Main street and shops, good restaurants

-Heaters worked really quickly in the basement (although since it was 55F in the afternoon, we needed to open the upstairs windows to get it to cool down without ever using the upstairs heaters)

-Having sleds there to use was nice!

Very well equipped condo

  • 4 of 5

Our family truly enjoyed the property. It is nice to stay in a home that is used by the owners for the extra touches you do not find in a strictly rental property. The kitchen has everything you need to cook full meals. The beds were comfortable and the linens and towel of nice quality. The games in the closet add the homely feel and makes for an impromptu evening of fun.

The only thing that needs to be addressed is the hot water heater. The heater and/or heating element needs to be replaced. Hot water would only last for one good shower or two quick ones which is a drag when three or four come in from the hot tub looking to get cleaned up for the evening and have to sit around in a swim suit waiting for the water to reheat. There is a typed note on the hot water heater instructing on how to reset the hot water heater along with a screw driver to remove the access panel. Obviously, the owners know they have a problem. Fix that and you have perfect 5 star unit.

Location is great for hiking and staying in Frisco is a good choice for skiing A-Basin, Keystone, Breckenridge, Vail and Beaver Creek. Typically we have stayed in Breckenridge and did not venture as much do to the convenience of skiing Breckenridge. All mountains offer some great skiing, each with their own personality.

Owner's Response: ***Update: We immediately replaced the 10 year old water heater with a brand new model including a booster to allow even more shower time.*** Initial response: Thank you for the kind review. We were not aware of the problem with the hot water heater and I've already called a plumber to address the issue. About once a year it needs to be reset - we have the note and the tool there so that guests do not have to wait if the water heater stops working. We actually replaced the hot water heater when we purchased the unit with a larger size so that it would accommodate multiple guests. Truly sorry that you were not able to get more than one shower in a row. This is the first we've heard of the issue and we will make certain it is resolved ASAP - Even if it means purchasing a new style of hot water heater. Thanks again for staying with us. Hope to see you in the future.

Great location

  • 4 of 5

Loved the condo and location. We were able to ski both Breckenridge and Keystone easily. (Too much snow to make it to Vail.) The condo had plenty of room for everyone to spread out and enjoy time together and apart. The only disappointment was that the hot tub was only luke warm, therefore we were not able to enjoy it after a long day of skiing.
