Enjoy your vacation in a quiet, friendly seaside neighborhood that has the "Old Florida" feeling of relaxed, casual beach side living. Fishing and beach combing are a daily community event on our beach, about a minute’s walk away from your vacation home. Nature viewing begins, well, at your front porch. Our neighborhood is just that sort of a place where pedestrians, bicyclists and golf carts outnumber cars. By the end of your stay, neighbors will have become friends. Most visitors that discover Indian Pass return again and again.
Yes, it is that special a place! No high rise condos or loud nightclubs, just old fashioned friendly folks who make visitors feel welcome.
Our vacation home, Indian Pass Sunflower, is a part of the history of this neighborhood. She began life as a one room fishing cottage. Over the years, she has been lovingly renovated into a beautiful two bedroom home. Custom touches can be seen throughout the home.
Relax in the great room while you enjoy the ocean view. Be sure and notice the exposed heart pine beams overhead. Feel your inner chef while preparing a meal in this unique kitchen, complete with custom pecky cypress cabinetry, wood and granite counters and stainless appliances.
Handcrafted tile mosaics bring art to both the kitchen and bath floors. A tiled, walk-in shower for two and custom cypress vanity encourage the pleasure of a pampered moment. The bedrooms will bring a smile to you with their whimsical headboards and inviting colors. Each has a standard size bed, reading lamp and ample closet space.
Start, end or just enjoy your entire day on the comfortable screened porch. It’s a great spot to people watch as your neighbors stroll by. To end your day, watch a sunset from the rooftop viewing deck. You may never want to go home!
The Sunflower is an accessible home, complete with wheelchair ramp and wide doorways. The shower is roll in wide and without a curb. The carpet is a low loop, sisal style. The kitchen has a lowered counter for seated use. Please feel free to discuss any accommodation needs with us.
There is plenty to do around the area. The wonderful shops in nearby towns are locally owned and reflect their owner’s artistic individuality. Birding and wildlife activities abound at several parks and reserves. Both offshore and river fishing are considered to be excellent in these waters. Indian Pass Boat Ramp is just down at the end of the street. Several great fishing tournaments, wildlife and birding events and celebration festivals take place here throughout the year. And then, there is just plain relaxing. We do that well here!

I especially enjoyed eating on the porch and falling asleep to the sound of the surf.
I loved everything about the Sunflower. I enjoyed coffee every morning on the screened in porch and a cocktail every evening on the star gazers deck. Seriously the best - most stress-free vacation I've had in years. If you just want to get away from everything and everyone, this is the place to go. Very comfortable house, the pictures do not do it justice. It's in a great location - minutes away from Indian Pass Raw Bar - and just a short walk to what feels like your own private beach. Barbara was super nice, very sweet and gave me lots of information regarding the area. Which was really nice since I was traveling alone. Everything about the trip was perfect. I can't wait to go back!
We had a wonderful vacation and so appreciated the owners being flexible and having a home with amenities for all occasions. We enjoyed every aspect of Sunflower and its location. Comfortable, loved the porch and upper deck for sunsets.
Was so nice to find this house that was so comfortable and spacious, AND dog friendly. This area is great for downtime, laid back, friendly people. With the beach right there, perfect! The owner was very helpful with information when making reservations and all the way through the rental process. Would definitely look for this house to be available next time we go there.
This was our first time staying at the sunflower and we loved it! It was very quiet and peaceful. The house is equipped with everything you will need and has all the comforts of home. Indian Pass takes you away from all the hustle and bustle of everyday life. If you are looking for a place with a lot of activities like Panama city then this is not the place for you, if you are looking for a relaxing vacation then this is perfect. Barbara was great to work with and everything went as planned. We definitely plan to go back.
We have stayed at the Sunflower 2 years in a row and have booked a third stay. This home has proven to fit our lives quite well on vacation: about 200m to the beach; great outdoor living space; well equipped kitchen (we always bring a favorite knife and spices); beach gear available plus a storage shed for our own; outdoor fish cleaning station. A comfortable open home with more space than the three of us actually need.
Location is fantastic, corner lot with great breezes, lots of windows. Neighbors are friendly, someone always stops and talks with us if we are in the yard.
If you need a plush, sheek vacation in an opulent surrounding, you may need to find another beach. We need a place to drop our hats and eat a fresh catch every night. Comfortable and safe for a 3yr old, laid back and unpretentious.
Barbara has been great to work with. Heck, if she ever thought about selling, it's the type of place we would like to own.
Rentals are a personal thing when you return more than once. I hope you find yours.
Although we have been to this area many times before, this was our first time to rent the Sunflower. What a delightful house and to know the story of the house and the one who built it made it even more special.
The owner, Barbara, was just great and very helpful. I am in a wheelchair and this house is great for mobility needs although the carpet was a little hard to travel on. (Wish all were tile like kitchen and bath)
I could just sit on the front porch with a book and be completely content listening to the birds singing all day. The kitchen was well equipped with anything you might need, the bathroom very roomy. In fact, the whole house is roomy and comfortable. We just love Indian Pass and hope to return again to this house. Thank you Barbara.
