We are a family of 5 with 10 year old twins and a 14 year old daughter. We have been coming to this region since we met before the children were born and finally decided to buy a place 7 years ago
Why Owner chose Saint Leonards-on-sea
The property has a bright airy feel to it, warm in the winter and cool in the summer. The lounge and open plan kitchen a big, it has a home from home feel if you want to stay in and cook, we have board games and a smart flat screen TV with good wifi. The local is fantastic, it is walking distance to everything, sadly there is no sea view but you can smell the sea as its a 3 minute walk and you can see it once you step outside the building.
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date. 50% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date.
There are water sports on all the near by beaches which are a few minutes walk. There are seasonal events at the award winning pier including music, children theatre, fun fair, open air movie nights, yoga on the Pier.
Lots of fish restaurants serving local fresh fish, take a walk to the Old Town, lovely old pubs with live music
There is an acquarium for the rainy days with the children and a local cinema and theatre that always has a good show.
There is just too much to do in this region that I can never remember all of it, We have been coming here for years before buying our property with our children, and every visit we find a new restaurant or a new part of the beach to make new memories.
A family favourite for breakfast is the Pelican cafe with their American pancakes, but make sure you book to avoid sad little faces (or sad grown up faces)
The pier always has something to offer, or hire a bike and ride along while the children and teenagers skate and blade.
The list is honestly endless our children look forward to our trips more than those abroad!
