About Colleen Leveck
We moved to Seattle 4 years ago and fell in love with our “Tangletown” neighborhood just minutes from Downtown and a short walk to Green Lake Park. We would love to help make your visit as joyful as possible. We are very active and would enthusiastically provide recommendations for things to do including hikes, wineries, day trips to Islands, local attractions, National and State Parks, restaurants, Seattle neighborhoods, etc.
Colleen Leveck purchased this Cottage in 2013
Why Colleen Leveck chose Wallingford
The neighborhood of Tangletown is a quiet hamlet right in the heart of the city. Our home overlooks a small park where travel is measured by walking distances including Green Lake, coffee shops, restaurants, University of Washington campus and grocery stores. Yet, we're just 1 minute drive to I-5 on-ramp and 10 min drive to downtown Seattle.

This place is great for so many reasons. Couldn’t be happier with or visit.
Sweet cottage with nice touches.
We had a great stay. The cottage is in a good location. Everything is new in the cottage and it was very clean. The king size bed was extremely comfortable.
Lovely cottage and great location
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the cottage! It is just as pictured and had what we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The location is easily accessible from the SeaTac (via Link rail and bus) and from the Amtrak station (bus). There is a bus stop a short distance at the end of the street that takes you right into downtown Seattle with no transfers. In that same area are several restaurants and a small market (convenience foods, microwave meals, beer/wine..but no fountain/ice machine). We enjoyed visiting with the owners and took their suggestion of riding the ferry to Bainbridge Island. Had they not been outside tending to their home, we would have never known anyone was living in the main house! While the cottage is in close proximity to their home, they were very respectful of our privacy. I only regret not having time to walk and explore around Green Lake!
As mentioned in another review, the spiral staircase is quite steep!! There are motion sensor lights that are a *HUGE* help at night. However, if you have any type of mobility issue, this may not be an ideal option. My husband has a knee injury and the stairs were quite treacherous for him.
Lovely little cottage
This cottage is delightful - comfortable and attractive, clean and bright, it is tucked off the street in a quiet neighborhood. All we needed (kitchen and bathroom supplies, clean towels, etc.) for a long weekend stay was included. It is an easy walk to the local cafes, drugstore, etc. as well as to Green Lake. Perfect for my husband and me. We will definitely rent this cottage again.
Quiet, adorable, and clean
My mother, daughter, and I stayed at the cottage during a week visit to Seattle. The cottage was clean, quiet, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Highly recommended by us!
Great cottage for 2!
My wife and I spent two nights in the cottage and everything was really nice. Clean, organized, and well situated, we used it as our base of operations as we explored Seattle. With coffee, doughnuts, and beer barely a block away, it was easy to get comfortable. Colleen was very nice and accommodating. We'll definitely go back if we return to town.
