With a deep water dock, a boat mooring, a view from every room, and it's close proximity to town, it's a highly sought after location. This is the perfect place to explore by kayak or paddle board all the nooks and crannies of this protected and beautiful harbor. Rentals are available close by. For sailors this is one of the go-to spots on the east coast for the reliable southern breezes and protected harbor. On Sunday in July and August the Quahog Bay Sailing Club races start around one which can be viewed from the ledges just a few steps from the house. For power boaters there is plenty to see and room to ski.
This peaceful, private, and spectacular location is a surprisingly convenient 6 miles to the charming town of Brunswick, Maine which boasts a tremendous variety of restaurants and shops and is home to Maine State Music Theatre at Bowdoin College. Acadia National Park is just a three hour drive away but it will take you longer because of all the interesting and beautiful places to see along the way. The very cool city of Portland is less than an hour south with the shopping outlet mecca of Freeport and home of LLBean along the way. Reid State Park and Popham Beach boast two of the most unspoiled beaches in Maine and are less than 45 minute drive away as is a water park perfect for kids and adults alike. For an old fashioned carnival atmosphere head down to Old Orchard Beach.
