Ideal holiday home
Lovely home in perfect location
Home from home, kitchen was well equipped, lounge was very comfortable with plenty of games and dvds. I know it’s a personal preference but we all found the beds very comfortable. 2 lovely bathrooms with towels supplied. We couldn’t find fault with the property. We would definitely stay again. Unfortunately rained all week but that’s not the owners fault 😃
Perfect Highland stay
The house had absolutely everything that we wanted and the location was simply stunning. We arrived on a wet day but to get the views of the mountains whilst we were there and to get the opportunity to climb Ben Nevis it made it an even more special opportunity. Thanks Nathalie!!!
Spean Bridge May 2019
Wonderful property. Nathalie was excellent at communicating prior to our trip and Nicola who manages it was also lovely. We experienced the cottage in blazing sunshine and pouring rain and loved it regardless (although the view was definitely more impressive when the mountains weren’t obscured by clouds!)
As a family of 5 (Granny, Mummy, Daddy, a 3 and 1 year old) we all got to enjoy separate bedrooms and spacious communal areas. The only things we could think of that would have improved our stay would have been stair gates so we didn’t have to watch our adventurous toddler around the stairs. He also needed very close supervision in the garden but we all loved the bridges over the burn and the kids enjoyed playing on the tree swing too. We appreciated the provision of children’s cutlery, high chair, travel cot and games (there was also a bath seat but we didn’t need to use this) and there was a good selection of books and DVDs.
We had already planned food and outings in advance but there was a handy folder with details of local activities and eateries had we needed this.
Overall the booking was easy, the price was very reasonable and we are definitely thinking of planning a return trip, thank you!
Great cottage and perfect base for hiking the Highlands, including a day trip to Isle of Skye.
Thanks for your lovely review. Glad your enjoyed your stay! Nathalie
Very much enjoyed our stay.
Welcome to Taigh A'Chaorainn ('Rowan Tree House' in Gaelic) an ideal holiday destination in the Highlands of Scotland, 10 miles from Fort William, the outdoor capital of the UK. We are close to Loch Ness, Ben Nevis and the Cairngorms. The Caledonian Canal is a stone's throw away. The house is a great base from which to go walking/hiking, birdwatching, fishing, play golf, and try some water sports. Skiing in winter.
