This two bedroom one bath home is located about 2 miles from Jewel Cave Monument placed upon 8 acres in the center of the Black Hills and ATV Trails. Hunters, this home is north of HWY 16 in-between Custer, SD and Newcastle, WY next to Hell Canyon. You can take back roads to Wyoming or back to Northern Hills from my home and never touch asphalt. Excellent access for retrieval of elk and deer tags. I keep National Forest maps amongst others at the home.
I am 8 miles from Custer State Park, 20 miles to Mt. Rushmore and 7 miles from Crazy Horse. No road noise only animal noise on full moons! You can expect to see deer every morning and evening and on rare occasions’ elk, you may see large turkeys as well (no hunting on my property please). There are fire pits, hammocks, and two barbeques, fishing poles, tackle box, board games, Wifi, Netflix and 9’ LVL beam in garage to hang meat. I raised my now adult children on this property we enjoyed it!
I travel continuously for my job so I am happy to share my personal home with individuals and families. My family and I have many fond memories, hoping you will have the same. I do have a private apt. for the care taker or me or lawn person… it does have its own private entrance and exit and I will consider renting to larger groups if requested. However, there are no poisonous snakes to worry about as prairie rattlers don't like the elevation. The buffalo are kept out by the cattle guard. If you want to unplug from civilization this is the location. There is a barbecue and of course the fire pits are a family favorite. If you own atv's or side by sides bring them along as there is over 300 miles of trails from my driveway.
I supply towels, sheets, tooth brushes and tooth paste (if you forget )free Wi-Fi along with Dish TV, Netflix on the 50" flat screen TV, board games and of course the hammocks (use at your own risk). Or just sit on the deck in the evenings a watch the sun set behind the hill. The only light noise is the front porch light which can be shut off.
Come play, hunt, hike, and enjoy the quiet beauty of the Black Hills!
