Docks are usually in the water by May 15th through October 15th. The cabin features a modern kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker & toaster as well as dishes, pots & pans, silverware & utensils. Living room has a flat-screen TV, and a DVD Player. If you don't want to cook indoors, you can use the gas grill on the patio and enjoy views of the lake and Big Cove. There is a fire pit and a fish-cleaning station on the lake shore. Just across the street is the Red Onion Restaurant & Sports Bar and adjacent to it is Wally's Peninsula Market with an award-winning deli, coffee shop, wine room and grocery store.

My two older boys, dogs and I spent the last few days here. Very cozy, quiet, and fun. Beautiful view of the lake! Coffee, market, restaurant/bar right across the street!
I came in alone for the first night. It was a very nice place to stay, looks rustic but with all the amenities. Very quiet. I had a problem the next morning and Karen was right there when I called and found the solution. Some of my family came in by noon the next day for a a memorial and they also expressed their pleasure at staying here. The surrounding area was gorgeous and we all really enjoyed our stay! We will return! Thanks Karen, for making our stay perfect!
Outstanding Labor Day Weekend at the Lake, very comfy cabin at a Great Location
Stayed here three night with another couple. We had a pontoon boat so the dock space and the location was a real plus. The problems were as follows. 1) The dock was not adjusted properly and you could not access the boats without going through water so shoes had to be removed every time in and out. 2) The place was kindof dirty with cobwebs and we found a condom in one of the drawers so the cleaners need to be more thorough, 3) There was absolutely zero access to the upper bunk in the smaller room so we had to remove the pad and one person slept on the floor. 4) They had these strange plastic covers over the mattresses that were covered by t he sheets that made for an uncomfortable sleep. 5) Price was way too much for this space.
Our stay was peaceful and the check-in and check-out process was seamless. Although clean and tidy, this rental is no-frills. The refrigerator is noisy so I recommend a small fan for white noise if that may bother you during the night.
So clean with very up to date kitchen stocked with all the essentials. Large comfy couch and open dining area made it easy for our group of 6 to be together in the evenings. Bedrooms/beds comfortable and set up for maximizing space. Bathroom clean and shower easy to use. BBQ on patio worked great. Boat slip right there so convenient to leave our boat in the water for the whole time. Large grassy area out front shared with the resort nice place to sit in the shade in the afternoons. We boated, wake boarded, tubed, paddleboarded, swam, fished, and floated around on our giant pool floats. Excellent getaway. Great price. Super friendly gentleman neighbor/owner who answered any questions we had. Also all communication we had in renting was super prompt and helpful. Such a fun little place, felt like home but ON the lake. 😀?
