4 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment loch views, central location
About Lochaber Holidays
We are a busy working family with 3 young children, we are both born and bred in the area and run our own building business along with a croft (smallholding) that has a few cows, some sheep & chickens. Although busy we are only ever a phonecall away from our guests and are always happy to help/advise when required.
Lochaber Holidays purchased this Apartment in 2017
Why Lochaber Holidays chose Fort William
We bought number 6 after viewing it and realising that it needed a builder's touch. It was in an almost derelict state and still in it's original set up of 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, small larder kitchen and small living room. Because of other work commitments it took a while to get started but once we were able to focus on it we spent a significant amount of blood, sweat, occasional tears and a lot of money on unleashing its potential. We knocked down walls, created new walls and extended into the loft space to create the beautiful and spacious 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment it is now.
What makes this Apartment unique
This apartment benefits hugely from its location with beautiful, uninterrupted, views over Loch Linnhe giving it a truly relaxing feel while only being minutes from the A82 and the centre of Fort William. We genuinely feel it is an ideal place to stay to enjoy the benefits of the Lochaber countryside while retaining the advantage of being a few minutes walk from shops, cafes, restaurants & bars.

Lovely stay in Fort William
We had a brilliant stay in "Number 6" in Fort William. Lots of little details have been thought about, with spices in the kitchen, a goodie basket to welcome us and all mod-cons from smart TVs to Alexa provided. The perfect place to relax and recharge after a day of outdoor activity!
Our property is perfectly located to explore all Lochaber has to offer.
It is a 5 minute walk from the town centre with it shops, cafes, restaurants, bars & museum. Fort William sits on the banks of Loch Linnhe where there are boat tours to Seal island, opportunities to fish or sail and the chance to join the Great Glen Way.
Being at the heart of Lochaber the property is ideally situated to explore the surrounding attractions be it on foot, by local transport or by car. Popular local attractions range from skiing at Nevis Range or Glencoe, Indoor climbing at the 3 wise monkeys, ice climbing at the Ice factor in Kinlochleven to the Jacobite steam train, following the Harry potter line over the Glenfinnan viaduct, exploring our area's history by visiting the West Highland Museum in Fort William, making a stop at Old Inverlochy castle or by having a day out at the Folk museum in Newtonmore.
There are a huge number and variety of activities/locations to visit in Lochaber and the surrounding areas whatever the weather. As hosts we would be more than happy to be contacted for advice, in addition the Visit Scotland information centre on the high street is a very helpful resource.
As parents of a young family we are well versed on the family friendly activities available; from a morning spent in Treasures of the Earth to a day trip to Landmark Forest Adventures, from picnic friendly beaches to rainy day indoor activities so please do get in touch if there is anything you'd like to know.
The area is beautiful with lots of unspoilt countryside to explore without the need for hiking boots and rucksacks if you prefer a more leisurely pace for your holiday. There really is something for everyone and we genuinely hope you come to Lochaber and enjoy every moment.
