Greve is Back!
This property is perfect if you want to have a place to come “home” to after touring. We have stayed here twice before and it continues to be our best pick on Vrbo to date. There is everything you need to be comfortable - if you are staying for a week or for a month like us. The hosts are wonderful and helpful. It was particularly nice this year to be close to the square and the action there but safely removed from activity while at the apartment which was immaculate as always. Everyone we encountered appeared to take COVID seriously in Tuscany and my concerns about traveling there were not founded. There was a rapid Covid test clinic in the center. A bonus since we were required to have a negative test before our flight home. It was great to be back in our favorite home away from home. Thank you Begga!!

No surprises here!
Totally enjoyed our Greve experience thanks to our rental. Perfect accommodation for us...spotless, every necessity to make us comfortable provided. Our host greeted us upon arrival and toured her facility with us. Plenty of bedding, kitchen tools, cleaning supplies provided. Location was perfect for us. Walking distance to markets, piazza, ATM, bank, restaurants, public transportation. Fabulous bakery next to apartment and cafe across the street for that espresso or cappuccino. This apartment is on the third level which was not a problem for us. Nice little balcony with a bench where we would sit and enjoy our morning coffee or afternoon cocktail and people watch. Great location from which to tour Chianti wineries. One day trips to Florence and Sienna. Overall our 17 day stay was a positive experience. Highly recommend this apartment.

Perfect location to explore Chianti
The apartment is spacious and comfortable. The owner answers any questions you have promptly and with helpful detail. We enjoyed evening strolls in the piazza and the friendly locals. I would highly recommend this apartment if you plan to stay in the Chianti region. Also, for excellent food, try La Cantina, a 3 minute walk away on the same street as the apartment. Be sure to meet Alessandro, the ristorante ‘s larger than life owner, who is likely to hand you a glass of wine when you arrive. Bon viaggio!!

I was born in Iceland but I moved to Italy when I was 19 years old. I moved with my husband Enrico to Greve in Chianti in 1992 and I was the first Icelander to become a resident in the Comune of Greve in Chianti. Our daughter Linda was born in 1997. We moved to Bagno a Ripoli (Florence) in 2012 but we decided to leave almost all our furnitures in our apartment in Greve in Chianti so it is a mixture of Italian-Icelandic home. I have rented apartments to Icelanders in Tuscany for several years and I like to show Florence and the Chianti area to Icelanders and organizing for them cooking classes in Florence.

Why they chose this property

When you enter in the apartment you will admire the view and the light of the living room. You don´t need to use the car, everything is in a walking distance. Although the property is only 5 minutes walk from the main square, our guests feel that they are a part of the people in Greve in Chianti but not tourists.

What makes this property unique

Our guests say that the photos can't give the idea of the apartment. The apartment
seems bigger to them and they love the old furnitures that are almost 90 years old and are from my husband's grandparents. You can take a wonderful walk up to Montefioralle or Castello di Uzzano and if you want to go to Florence you don't have to worry of going by car and spend a lot of money for a parking place, you just take the bus and the bus stop is 3 minutes walk. You will love the food and the wine in Greve in Chianti :)
