About Grace K
I've summered full time in this cottage since 1979 when my parents inherited it from my grandparents. My Grandparents purchased the cottage in the early 1920's and my mom and her family enjoyed summers there while living in White River Junction, Vermont. My 4 brothers and I enjoyed it since we were little, learning how to swim, water ski, knee board and later tube. After mom passed in 2012 and then dad in 2015, the 5 of us were left the property. One brother Chris lives here on the left side of the property. which is a separate home. My husband and I were able to buy out my brothers enabling us to keep it in the family,.
Grace K purchased this Cottage in 2017
Why Grace K chose Enfield
This property is so special to me as it's been a part of my life since I was a baby and my mom was a baby. We've had so much fun over the years swimming, boating and walking out on it in the winter. My parents retired up here from NY and just loved it! They ran it as a B@ B for over 15 years opening their home to many guests. The best family times were spent here playing games especially Jarts. My 5 nephews loved everything about the lake!
What makes this Cottage unique
There are beautiful loons on our lake and a treat to hear them communicate with each other. You also will love watching the hummingbirds feed regularly at the front deck feeder and the flowers around the house. There is always a great breeze off the lake for wonderful air flow. We have a nice swing with a canopy and an awesome hammock facing the lake.

You never have to leave!
Grace has thought of everything! A group of 6 adults stayed for Memorial Day Weekend, and we had a blast. The house is exactly as advertised and the photos are accurate. The bedrooms were airy and comfy. The covered front porch was excellent for hanging out with a beautiful view. The living room was cozy, and the whole place was spotless.
The best part, of course, was the lake! This house literally has everything you could want for a sunny day on the lake. Six kayaks, a paddle boat that seats four, a brand new stand-up paddle board, floating lounges, a floating cooler, beach chairs, an umbrella, etc. etc. etc. We had a wonderful time utilizing all of the water toys.
We were also lucky enough to be the first to use the brand new fire pit. They had just built/installed it recently, and it wasn't even listed at the time I booked, so it was a nice surprise. They provided plenty of firewood and had outdoor lawn games as well.
The icing on the cake was that Grace had called me the night before our arrival and asked if we wanted her to pick up some groceries for us. I had said no, of course, but she was graciously persistent! I have stayed at many many AirBnB's and HomeAway rentals, and this was definitely a first for me. Upon arriving, Grace had completely stocked the fridge and cupboards with beyond more than enough to get us through the weekend. We literally never had to leave the house. She left the grocery bill so that we could just deduct what we had, and paid for only those items. This was a true perk unlike I'd ever experienced.
The house has been converted into a duplex, with the owner's unit on the left, and the rented unit on the right. Grace was around to greet us when we checked in, showed us around, and we spent the first night chatting with her for a bit around the fire pit. She was absolutely lovely and welcoming. We will definitely be back for more lake fun! Thank you, Grace!
Thank you Meg for your very thoughtful and kind review. It was so fun to share our place with you and your friends. Everyone was so nice and grateful. I'm so happy you all enjoyed your stay and were able to get out on the lake! As far as the lake toys, we only have 4 kayaks with 3 down by the water. You all ate like birds as there was so much food left over. We didn't let it go to waste though. I really hope you come back again for more great times.
Thanks again for your awesome review!!!
Cozy cabin with easy access to beautiful lake!
We really enjoyed our stay at this sweet lake house. There was enough room for our family of 7. The kids enjoyed the lake, ping pong, cooking for each other, and we spent a couple of nights sitting around the outdoor fire pit roasting marshmallows. Very kind and thoughtful hosts who bent over backwards to make sure we enjoyed our stay!
Such a beautiful property on a beautiful lake! Grace and Chris are excellent hosts who have thought of everything - well stocked kitchen, comfy beds, and plenty of toys for the lake.
A wonderful lake house with all the amenities!
Grace's lake house had everything we needed for a great vacation! Our 8 year old son fished off the dock from sun up to sun down, while the rest of us enjoyed the kayaks, paddle boats, and floats. And when the sun went down we all retired out back for s’mores at the beautiful fire pit. What a great ambience with the all the tiki torches! I enjoyed my coffee every morning on the screened in porch overlooking the lake. Grace was so accommodating and helpful with any questions we had and was a pleasure to talk to! We will definitely be back next time we are in New Hampshire! So many great memories were made!
My wife and I stayed at this camp the first week of July 2018. The camp is really a house - with air conditioning (wonderful during this very hot period). We have stayed at other camps in the area but nothing compares. Grace, Mel and Chris were very helpful and welcoming to us. The photos on the site are 100% real. We also liked the place since it is relatively close to shopping, restaurants, etc. When we come to the area again we will definitely stay here.
This is a beautiful retreat! The entire family loved this lakefront home!
Grace did a wonderful job making the experience so enjoyable! We stayed here for a long weekend for our oldest son’s graduation from Dartmouth. It was only a 20 - 25 minute drive to campus. We have 4 other childern 12 - 19 yrs who all loved it too...there are so many water activities to enjoy! The house is very clean and nicely decorated with plenty of games that the kids loved. Also there is a beautiful fire pit that we enjoyed several times. Grace is a wonderful hostess and even set the campfire for us! I can’t recommend this vacation home enough! It is perfect!
Walking and running along Crystal lake to take in the beautiful lake views is a must. Going left out of the driveway takes you down towards the dam which is just under 1 mile. Going right out of our driveway takes you to algonquin road where you see the cove aspect of our lake. You can walk down to the boat ramp or keep going to the end. This walk is approx 1.5 miles each way There is a large sandbar on the opposite side of the lake to enjoy where the water is warmer and sand is soft under your feet. The Kluge/Currier trail is a great walk which you access before Algonquin road on your right. Another nice trail is the Colette Trail off Boys camp road which is off Lockhaven rd going past the dam. Blueberry Picking is wonderful in Cannan near Cardigen mountain . Ask us for the number before you go. Mt Cardigen is nearby for a challenging hike and scenic views. The Queechee Gorge is another popular attraction while driving on route 4 into Queechee and then Woodstock Vermont. The Simon Pierce Glass factory and restaurant is very popular as well.
