The main entry of the palazzo has a dramatic vaulted entry that contains a tranquil courtyard. Past the courtyard, a marble stairway leads to the apartment, which is on the top floor (3rd floor US, 2nd floor UK) of the palazzo.
The main area consists of a formal entryway, elegant living room, separate formal dining room and a large eat-in kitchen.
From the entryway three steps lead up to the large formal living room which is tastefully and comfortably decorated. It features a Siena marble wood-burning fireplace, wood-beamed ceilings, traditional terracotta floors, elegant Persian carpet, travertine marble light sconces, a tall 7 foot double window, and hand blown Venetian glass doors leading to the separate dining room and kitchen.
The kitchen features wood-beamed ceilings, terracotta floors and is fully equipped with gas stove, convection oven, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, blender, as well as cook and bake ware, dinner ware, cutlery and utensils. The table top is Carrera marble.
The formal dining room seats 6, and has an antique buffet and china cabinet.
The sleeping accommodation consists of 3 bedrooms (sleeps 6) and 2 bathrooms. The large master bedroom has a four-poster queen size bed, 18th Century frescoed ceiling border, large armoire with built-in drawers providing ample closet space, alabaster lamps, and two large seven foot high windows. One has a partial view of the town square, and the other has a view of the Tuscan countryside with Mt Cetona in the background.
The second bedroom has a queen size bed, 18th Century frescoed ceiling border, large armoire with built-in drawers, built-in bookshelf, a desk, one large seven foot high window with a Tuscan countryside view.
The third bedroom has two twin beds, armoire, and seven foot high window with a view of the charming rooftops.
Both bathrooms are spacious and fully equipped. The full bath has a tub with shower attachment, and a tray ceiling with additional up-lighting.
The second fully equipped bathroom has a shower. There is natural light from a window that offers a view of the charming rooftops. The apartment has a tank less, on demand water supply, so you can be assured of having hot water for as long as you wish.
There is a separate laundry room, which is very unique in Italy, where it is the norm to have the washing machine located either in the kitchen or bathroom. The washing machine controls are in English.
The apartment has a flat screen TV, DVD player, a small collection of movies, guide books, internet access (direct wired and Wi-Fi) as well as use of a laptop and a portable GPS device.
