Set in a typical rural everyday where the trees, corn fields, cattle pastures and Pico vineyards are your neighbors, and always with the sea nearby. On the southern slope of Pico Island, overlooking a wide bay and located halfway between the sea and mountains, it is located the village of Pontas Negras. It is a small village of about fifty houses, located two kilometers from the parish seat (Ribeiras), and ten kilometers from the county seat (Lajes do Pico).
Situated in this friendly and hospitable place of Pontas Negras, parish of Ribeiras, municipality of Lajes, Pico Island, Azores, is the Vinagreiro houses, houses of old building dating back to the century. XIX.
Then built by my grandfather's nickname "Vinagreiro" on his return from the United States of America "houses of Vinagreiro", adopted his name.
