The cottage is part of the restored ferreria, or iron factory. The owners have renovated this ancient structure to create an elegant holiday complex containing several properties. A beautiful landscaped garden surrounds the ferreria, which was designed and laid out in the 15th century. Guests can also reach the nearest sandy beach in a 10 minute drive, with the pretty stabilmento at La Dogana. Furthermore the medieval town of Capalbio makes for a great day trip with its lovely historical centre. Guests can also visit the famous Giardino dei Tarocchi, designed by the artist Nikki de Sant-Phalle, at just one kilometer from the house.

As guests enter this property they will find an open-plan living area that leads out onto the garden. There is also an open fireplace and a comfortable double sofa bed. Guests will also find a table that seats up to four. The living room has many original features, including a vaulted wooden beam ceiling and the millstone that gives the villa its name. The kitchen area has all utensils and appliances and decorated in a traditional Tuscan style. Guests will find a double bedroom with a large and comfortable bed and a further seating area. Finally the owners have recently renovated the bathroom, which has a shower and stone bath tub.
The decor of this cottage is elegant and full of personality, with unique pieces of furniture setting off its original features. The open fireplace makes for a cozy atmosphere in winter, and in summer the doors out to the garden fill the house with sunlight.
