"Paw Prints" invites you to come to the mountains. Discount for 7 or more nights booked. Fun for couples or small families. Great for anniversaries or that once in a lifetime honeymoon. Make memories with your family that will last a lifetime and encourage love of the great outdoors. No damage by the 2016 fires in our area. We have a wood burning fireplace open from October through March each year. Seasonal Mountain view starting in the fall through early spring. Bears have been seen during the warm season out back of the cabin by several guests (see photo). May 3, 2018 there was a bear spotted on the front porch by a guest. This cabin is just the peaceful getaway you've been looking for. Great hiking nearby. Paw Prints is located in a charming cabin community on Round Top Mountain next to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Wears Valley area of Sevierville , TN. It only takes about 15 minutes to get to the Parkway in Pigeon Forge (light #3) or about 15 minutes to get to Gatlinburg through the back entrance to the Smoky Mountains. We are about 8 miles from Townsend. This quaint log cabin is perfectly located for your enjoyment. All photos taken Mid-February 2017.

Paw Prints has a great room with cathedral ceiling, wood burning fireplace (in season from October 1st through end of March), kitchen, full bath and queen size Murphy Bed on the main level. The bar & small 2 person table (not in photos) allows for easy meals for 4. The Barrel Arcade game system (on main floor) has 60 classic arcade games (incl. Donkey Kong, Pac Man, Centipede, Galaxian, Dig Dug, Frogger, Time Pilot, 1942, Scramble, Burger Time and many more). Go downstairs to the Master bedroom with whirlpool tub, second bath w/shower and full size pool table. There is a door that closes at the top of the stairs for privacy so that both sleeping areas have privacy.

Enjoy sitting on the front porch or either of two covered back decks, or relax in the new hot tub (as of Jan 2017) on the upper deck. The upper deck has a wooden picnic table and bench seats for 4. This deck is enclosed on the sides to allow privacy. There is a beautiful wooded view in the summertime, and a gorgeous seasonal mountain view of Cove Mountain. Metcalfe Bottoms picnic grounds with magnificent views of a large running stream is about 5 minutes away. A park grill was added at beginning of June 2017 and is just to the front right of cabin with easy access to the kitchen just off the front porch.

Free Wifi is available throughout the cabin. Enjoy the large Smart TV and DVD player upstairs & another Smart TV / DVD player in the Master bedroom.

The back yard is Community Property for you to enjoy, and there is only one other cabin on this paved drive. Both cabins are situated so there is privacy without feeling isolated. Roads are paved to the cabin as well as the level driveway. There are a couple of sloping turns to get to cabin so if coming during ice and snow possibilities you may want to purchase trip insurance or bring your 4 wheel drive. The calendar shows what dates are open. The cleaning fee is $85 and this covers cleaning and restocking between guests. We are a non-smoking cabin and no pets are allowed. Cabin rental is agreement to these terms. Cancellations more than 60 days before trip are 100% refundable and more than 30 days but less than 60 days from trip are 50% refundable. We don't refund for less than 30 days. Trip insurance can be purchased through VRBO to protect against bad weather or a change in plans that keep you from your vacation. Half of the cost is paid to secure the booking and the other half is due 30 days before trip. All is handled by the VRBO/Homeaway system.

This is a pet free and non-smoking cabin. We ask that no firearms be brought to the cabin. Thanks and have a safe time in the Great Smoky Mountains!

About George & Pam Walker

For quite some time, we have loved coming to the Smoky Mountains. We finally found the perfect cabin - hope you enjoy it as much as we do! We take great pride in offering a great guest experience. We handle everything ourselves with the help of housekeeping and great maintenance persons. Purchased in December 2016 just after the fires. No damage in this area.

George & Pam Walker purchased this cabin in 2016

Why George & Pam Walker chose Sevierville

The people in Wears Valley/Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg are some of the nicest we have ever met. Could not ask for a better place to come and relax and have some fun! We love spending time with family here and know you will too!

What makes this cabin unique

The decks all have nice views and are perfect for that cup of coffee and unwinding after a day of fun. We love all the big chunky wood posts on all the decks. Wood interior and the true cabin theme and feel. Wooded but great seasonal mountain views. Peaceful setting and nice amount of level parking space. So close to hiking and easy back access to Gatlinburg. Hot tub for those aches after hiking or just enjoying nature all around. Pool Table and barrel arcade for anytime fun.

Spacious, comfortable, well-stocked

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The cabin amenities and check-in instructions were communicated in advance, helping us to prepare meals and map out our days. George and Pam responded to our questions promptly and stocked the cabin with kitchen, laundry and bath supplies. Plenty of blankets and board games to choose from. The location of the cabin in Wears Valley fit our needs as we wanted to stay in an area more remote than Gatlinburg. No complaints!

Beautiful cabin, well stocked and cozy. Perfect for a forest getaway.

We couldn't have asked for a better location, far enough away from Gatlinburg but close enough to visit for the evening and RIGHT next to the entrance to the Park.. We just loved Paw Prints and would definitely recommend for any small family or couple.

Beautiful location, perfect cabin and wonderful hosts!

  • 5 of 5

We started the search for a beautiful, affordable cabin a few weeks before our trip. We have a small family and this is our first time taking the kids. Pam and George were a breeze to book with and on top of that, they were always available to me via email for questions. They even sent us information on great things to do in the area. The cabin itself was beautiful and had plenty of room for our family of 4. The drive was beautiful, the property was perfectly situated in the hills with a very private, peaceful feel. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone and we can’t wait to go back. Thanks Pam and George, you truly made us feel like we had gone to stay at one of our families homes!

Smoky Mountain Adventure

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four enjoyed this beautiful cabin nestled up in the trees near Wears Valley. We were very active during our stay, and this was the perfect location to come home to every evening. From the midnight July 4th parade in Gatlinburg and tubing in Townsend to a fun-filled day at Dollywood and hiking in Cades Cove, we never ran out of things to do. The cabin was well stocked with everything we needed. While we ate out for most of our meals, we did enjoy grilling hamburgers on the grill one evening. One late afternoon when we were returning, a bear was walking up beside the cabin. We quickly retreated to the car and slowly edged down the drive while the bear took his time checking out the area before he disappeared into the woods. That experience certainly made us aware of our surroundings. We had a wonderful week of memories, and we thank the Walkers for allowing us this opportunity.

Map

Metcalfe Bottoms is about 5 minutes from the cabin. The Walker Sisters cabin and old schoolhouse are on this trail .Laural Falls is about 5 miles from Metcalfe Bottoms Picnic grounds heading towards Gatlinburg.

Mountain Bros General Store is nearby & a great place to shop for souvenirs as well as fudge and whole bean coffee.

Grandmothers Kitchen has wonderful breakfasts (she now takes credit cards but charges extra so bring cash to save some money). Off Wears Valley Road.

Geppetto's Restaurant has delicious Italian cuisine - don't forget the desserts!

Boss Hoggs BBQ is heading toward Pigeon Forge before you get to the Parkway and some of the best BBQ we have ever had.

Moonshine Ridge café & shop is nice (the café is not open right now as they are looking for new people to run it ) and has gifts for the family or to take a little bit of the Smoky Mountains home.

Heading away from the parkway is Trailhead Steak & Trout House on Lamar Alexandar Pkwy in Townsend (only about 15 minutes away). The food is excellent and while we didn't have reservations and still got in quickly it is recommended on weekend nights.

Next to Trailhead is Norris Mountain art shop with wonderful prints and originals of the Cades Cove area and worth the stop.

Don't forget to stop at Crockets Breakfast Camp in Gatlinburg. So much good food and fun themed restaurant.

The Titanic Museum is wonderful in Pigeon Forge and a great experience as you get to follow the life of one person on board the ship per person which makes it a very personal experience. Old McDonald's Farm mini golf is great and fun for all ages. This is one of the best we have played at.
