Beautifully appointed single family house with courtyard, steps to Frenchmen St
Our one bedroom house dates back to the late 1800’s and is full of Vieux Carre charm. It is perfectly located on the edge of the French Quarter, just two blocks from Bourbon St, only a few blocks to Frenchman St, and steps from world-class dining and shopping. Local favorite, Port of Call, is right on the corner, and the Rampart Street Car two blocks away provides easy access to the rest of the city.
The kitchen was recently updated and has new stainless steel appliances. The bedroom has a new king size memory foam bed with luxury organic cotton bedding. Luxury organic cotton bath linens are also provided.
Relax and start your day off with café au lait and beignets in the lush shared courtyard. Spend the day shopping on Royal, wandering The Quarter, or take a street car ride up to the Garden District, and then head back to the house to relax before dancing the night away on Bourbon and Frenchmen Streets.

We recently moved to Boise from our native Wyoming, but have been in love with New Orleans for years. It is our most favorite city in the world (that is saying something for us!) and we try to escape there as often as possible. We've even managed to take our baby girl down a few times already. We are excited to share our love and enjoyment of this rich culture with you. Our home is your home! --Kate, Andy, and Alice
Kate purchased this House in 2016
Why Kate chose Vieux Carre District
After longing for a French Quarter property for years, we stumbled across this one when we weren't even looking. The size and location are perfect for our small family and we think after staying here you will fall in love too.
What makes this House unique
Staying in our house lets you experience NOLA as a local! It's easy to get around without a car (in fact, that's what we recommend), and the location couldn't be more convenient. While only blocks from the party of Bourbon St, the courtyard is secluded and peaceful. A well-appointed kitchen allows you the flexibility to eat in, or throw together some hors d'oeuvres before heading out for a night on the town.

Perfect place, location, can’t wait to return!
This house is beautifully decorated and we loved the location and courtyard, bikes, all the amenities. The extra touches, such as the bottle of wine and cucumber and mint water were so wonderful too!! New Orleans is amazing and we can’t wait to return to this spot, thank you Kate!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Pearl Magnolia! Short walking distance from the heart of the French Quarter and Frenchmen Street, and easy pickup spot for rideshares if you are going further. The house itself is beautiful, with many charming details! The modern appliances and well stocked kitchen are nice, even if you don't plan to eat at home! We didn't get to enjoy the courtyard area due to rain, but it is a neat little outdoor hideaway. We would love to stay here again...thanks so much!!
Touch of Old New Orleans
The Pearl Magnolia is a great place to stay for a romantic getaway. The look is that of old New Orleans but with all the modern appliances, fixtures and amenities. It is located in a quiet part of the French Quarter and is within easy walking distance of all the sites. The hosts are extremely nice and easy to contact. There are plenty of books and notes on places to go in New Orleans.
Best possible location in the Quarter...
Truly the best possible location in the quarter. Roughly four blocks from Frenchman St., two blocks from Bourbon St. but far enough removed from the thick of the fun that it makes a great refuge and pre-funk launch pad. Excellent for a romantic getaway with easy access to some of the finest restaurants in the quarter. An easy ride to Uptown and St. Charles (close to nearly 24hr pizza delivery for that post party craving). Kind hosts, very communicative.
Beautiful and Perfectly Located!
If you are searching for a beautiful house with all of the amenities, style, and thoughtful location one could ask for, look no further. The first thing to strike us as we walked through the door was the beautiful, locally-sourced decoration of the Pearl Magnolia. The furniture is gorgeous and the kitchen has clearly been remodeled and upgraded in a more modern fashion but the whole house also contains antique pieces that have unique character. The bathroom makes wonderful use of available space and has a distinctively European feel to it. The shared courtyard is a quaint spot to enjoy morning coffee or an evening nightcap away from the exposure to the street just feet away. One of the most pleasant frills included with the house is use of two bicycles for seeing the city from a slightly different perspective. It might even be some of the smaller details that truly make you feel welcome during your stay at the Pearl Magnolia: cucumber-mint water in the fridge, an emergency sewing kit tucked away in a kitchen drawer, and a multitude of tour guides books to help you navigate the ins and outs of a fascinating city. Located in the French Quarter but thankfully a respectable distance (1/2-1 mile) from some of the rowdier areas means that you are very close to the action, but far enough away to have a little peace during down time. This spot really has it all as a wonderful place to stay when visiting New Orleans.
Charming, great location
This was such a comfortable home for me and my husband. A perfect spot for two people who want to be near the French Quarter, but still get a good night's rest. We used the bikes and spent an afternoon in City Park. We were within easy walking distance to the French Quarter and spent every morning there. Frenchmen St. was a great walking distance location for a calmer nightlife. We will stay here again!
Car not necessary. Parking in the streets in the French Quarter is not recommended as the car must be moved after two hours. There are paid lots nearby that average about $25 for a 24 hour period.
