Location, location, location...Large 3,500 square foot Luxury Home on the water, 1 block West to Lido Beach, 1 block East to famous St. Armands Circle, which has over 100 restaurants and shops. There is a Starbucks and other coffee places two blocks away. Private canal w/manatees, fishing, etc. and heated swimming pool. Screened-in backyard lanai faces west...and that is why you will find this home Sunset Heaven!
From the minute you open the double front doors, you will be in awe of this home's beauty and comfort. One of the master bedrooms (king bed) is located upstairs, taking over the entire second floor with large private deck (with chase lounge chairs, umbrella & table) overlooking the canal waterway and pool. There is a magnificent bath area with double walk-in shower and separate tub. A second master bedroom (king bed) is located on the first floor with sliding glass doors opening to the lanai, a large walk-in closet and a bath with separate tub and shower. Two guest bedrooms (one with 3 twin beds (with walk-in closet), the other with queen bed) are located on the other side of the first floor for privacy. The queen bedroom has large full length windows that face west and overlook the pool and canal. The large living/entertainment area is the perfect place to gather and share stories, or watch your favorite program on the large flat screen TV. Open the large double french doors to the outside porch and lanai area, and allow the balmy breezes to flow through the home. There is an outdoor grill area for entertaining, a private pool and a spa. The kitchen is equipped with an island and large breakfast table and also counter stools. Most bedrooms have flat panel televisions. New washer and dryer are located on the first floor. Sit outside and watch the manatees play in the water then catch a sunset or walk up to the renowned St. Armand's Circle for dinner and shopping. You know you're in paradise when you stay at this home.

Upstairs master bedroom has wet bar with sink/refrigerator/ice maker. Heated pool and screened Lanai facing West. Lanai has large dining table, sofas, tables, etc. With 3,500 heated square feet, it is an ideal home for family reunions and large gatherings.

Our home, Sunset Heaven, is maintained by a high-quality rental management company which has been in business for over 25 years. This company has over 100 rental homes here and lots of resources should you require them. Before and after every arrival they do detailed inspections of our home, bring-in our two house cleaners (Debbie & Danielle) and their maintenance men (Walt & Tony) to fix anything that needs to be repaired. They also include a "starter" kit for our guests which includes, paper towels, blend of cooking spices, dish and laundry soaps, etc. Our management company requires their owners to maintain high standards for their properties. While this is costly for the owners, it leads to a higher quality portfolio of properties. Some of those include: 540 thread count bed sheets, flat panel tvs in adult bedrooms, 6 chaise lounges around the pool, detailed inventory of cooking items and appliances, landline telephone, expanded cable tv package, etc. Our property is serviced on a regular basis. Once per week we have pool cleaned by Frank (usually on Tuesdays) and landscaper Juan (usually on Saturdays) work at the property. Two pest control companies visit our home monthly to keep bugs and critters away from the property. Our HVAC company services our two HVAC units quarterly. The bottom-line is, you should expect a high quality, very well-equipped luxury home when you stay here and if you are not satisfied, please don't hesitate to let our property management company know during your stay so they can improve your experience before you depart.
What makes this House unique
The private canal behind our home is a Florida Certified Manatee Refuge (you probably see them multiple times per day). No visitors allowed, only owners and renters are allowed to use this canal. The home is so perfectly centrally located that we have used this home in the past without even renting a car (however, we did rent a boat and used that for our transportation which was a really cool experience!). However, museums, theater, concerts, larger stores (Whole Foods, Costco, etc.) a car is recommended.

We rented this home to celebrate my husband‘s 80th birthday. Our family of eight thoroughly enjoy this place. Plenty of room and the house was spotless. The location was perfect for walking to shopping, restaurants, and the beach. We had a wonderful week and we would return to this beautiful home.

It was a beautiful home in a perfect location. Would go back in a heartbeat.
Perfectly located home! Enjoyed watching the manatee every afternoon right off the dock and kayaking and paddle boarding easily right from the house. House was spacious enough for all our family and covered porch was perfect.
House could use a bit of TLC (some damaged cabinet fronts, paint chipping...) but is comfortably furnished in an ideal spot just a few minutes from the beach.
Owner and management were helpful and sincere in their efforts to be sure all went smoothly. (It did!)
We have rented several houses in the area- for the price, this one was great! Thank you! We will surely be back!

Big and beautiful! Will definitely rent here again!
The house is beautiful and big!! Lots of room for a multi-generational family vaca! The pool is amazing too! It was so great having access to our own personal pool area. The kids could go swim whenever they wanted without the hassle of packing up and all that! And cannot say enough about the screened in lanai! We enjoyed almost every meal out there! The location of the home is perfect. Literally can walk everywhere! The beach, dinner, shops ...you name it! And I cannot forget to mention the Manatees!!! What an amazing treat! Those animals are so majestic! The kids just feel in love with them!! We sat and watched them every morning while having coffee.
If I had anything slightly negative to say...I think the grill is poorly placed in the patio area. Seems to be a little cramped in the corner when trying to use it. And maybe providing some tiki torches/citronella candles during the mosquito months would be super helpful! Other than that the place is amazing! We had a wonderful time with our kids and grand children! Honestly can't wait to go back!!

We had a great time with 8 people in this fantastic house. Our favorite part was the pool and the large screened in porch. The view was spectacular of the canal and we enjoyed seeing the manatees which would come right up to the dock. We also loved the quick walk to the great restaurants, shopping and ice cream shops. Walk to beach was quick too and you didn't have to worry about parking. The house is beautiful. Could use a little updating but by no means deterred from our stay. The setting was very peaceful and quiet even though St Armand's Circle hustle and bustle is literally steps away. Highly recommend this house.

Property has an amazing location. 1/4 to beautiful Lido Beach and 1 block to famous St. Armands Circle. We are on an island that was developed by John Ringling (circus magnate) in the roaring 20's so the island has a lot of charm. On St. Armands we have everything you will probably need (grocery and liquor stores, Starbucks, many restaurants, etc.), however if you wanted to go to Costco, museums, malls, etc. you could take the 10 minute drive over the bridge to downtown Sarasota. On Lido Key (which is a 1/2 mile north), there is the University of Florida Mote Aquarium and Marine Center. This is a special place to experience and has the perfect balance between university research facility and kid-friendly aquarium stuff. The aquarium is about a 1/2 mile walk North of our home. Our backyard lanai, pool, and canal face West which provide amazing sunsets views most days!

1) $750 Refundable Pool Gas Deposit (we have a separate gas meter for the pool and the management company reads the meter immediately before and immediately after the guest stay) and we subtract that amount from your pool gas deposit, 2) $45 Damage Waiver fee covers up to $3,000 of accidental damage, if guest does not choose the Damage Waiver fee then a $2,000 Refundable Damage Deposit required, 3) Trip Cancellation fee of 7% if the stay is cancelled because of serious illness or death. 4) Must receive the 50% deposit within 10 days of making the reservation via check or wire, the remaining amount will be due 30 days prior to arrival.
