As you’d expect from a cabin named Romantic Views, the vistas of the Smoky Mountains and the lush woodlands are pretty spectacular. And yes, this 2-bedroom home is well suited for a romantic getaway; it includes a swing for 2 on each of its decks, an outdoor hot tub, and a Jacuzzi among its amenities. But because it can sleep up to 6 people, it’s great for a family vacation too.
Romantic Views is located in the Preserve Resort, a quiet enclave with walking trails and a covered pavilion with rockers, a picnic table, and a fireplace—along with a view to die for. But you don’t have to leave the cabin to marvel at the scenery. Large windows allow you to gaze out at the mountains and the seemingly endless sky from just about every room.
The reclining leather sofa and settee of the great room are marvelously comfortable spots for admiring the scenery. Of course, you’ll also enjoy kicking back on them to watch a movie on the 51” flat-screen TV with cable, surf the web via the free WiFi, or plan your next day’s adventures in the cozy glow of the fireplace.
For dinner with a view, you can choose between the indoor dining table, which seats 6, and the bistro table for 2 on the lower deck. You might not even want to try any of the numerous nearby restaurants! Fortunately Romantic Views has a fully equipped kitchen. Stainless-steel appliances, cookware, tableware: It’s all right here. What’s more, the cabin has both charcoal and gas grills for cooking alfresco.
The en-suite master bedroom is on the main floor along with the great room. And like the great room it’s furnished in polished rustic style, from the beamed ceiling to the wood-planked walls to the log-frame king-size bed. There’s a flat-screen TV as well, though you might prefer listening to the serenading of whip-poor-wills in the woods before drifting off to sleep.
If you’re visiting with the kids, they’ll want to commandeer Romantic Views’ loft. Part game room, part bedroom, it features a regulation-size pool table, foosball, and another flat-panel TV. The queen-size bed sleeps 2, and there are 2 futon mattresses in the room’s crow’s nest, accessible by ladder.
The loft includes a 2nd bathroom, this one with a jetted tub as well as a shower. You can enjoy soaking among massaging, therapeutic jets of water outside as well, in the upper deck’s hot tub. Luxuriating among the steamy bubbles in the silvery moonlight is so relaxing… and romantic. Then again, so is nestling with your sweetheart in one of the 2 deck swings. The decks also offer rockers and side tables so that you can spend hours outdoors. Settle back with your morning coffee and watch the mist rise above the mountains. Bring a book and a snack outside before dinner. Enjoy a nightcap and a spot of stargazing before calling it a night. When the surroundings are this gorgeous, you want to make the most of them.
Romantic Views’ other amenities include an entry that’s accessible for those with mobility issues and a washer and dryer. And then there’s the sheer serenity of the locale. Wears Valley, where the cabin is located, is sometimes called “the quiet side of the Smokies.” But you’ll still find plenty to see and do nearby. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is less than 15 minutes away; just a bit farther are Wears Valley Zipline Adventures and the Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster. And in only a half-hour you can drive to the Pigeon Forge Parkway, home to dinner theaters, the Island entertainment complex, the Titanic Museum, WonderWorks educational amusement park, the Tanger outlet mall, the Alcatraz East Crime Museum, and much more.
Whether you’re here for a quiet getaway or family fun, you’ll love everything that Romantic Views has to offer. Don’t miss out; book your stay today. We look forward to seeing you!
