3 Bedrooms, 3 Baths, Sleeps 14
Many Smoky Mountain cabins have an outdoor hot tub. Moonlight Theater Lodge is one of them—but the 3-floor log home also has 3 indoor jetted tubs, one in each bedroom. That’s just one reason it’s an idyllic getaway for a family or a group of friends eager to enjoy both country charm and urbane luxuries.
Located in Alpine Mountain Village resort, Moonlight Theater Lodge is just a few minutes from everything Pigeon Forge has to offer. But the lodge itself has plenty to offer as well. The downstairs home theater is a case in point: You can settle back among plush seating to watch a movie or sports on the 110” projection screen. You can even play on the Wii on the big screen—when you’re not shooting pool at the billiard table, that is.
One flight up, on the main floor, the living area has its own flat-screen TV, along with a PlayStation 3 and a Blu-ray player (and even some movies). With its lustrous wood-planked walls, floor, and cathedral ceiling, stone-surround fireplace, and so-comfy seating, this is a delightful space for enjoying the company of family and friends.
The great room also encompasses the dining area. Eight people can sit at the dining table, and 2 more at the breakfast bar just a few feet away. The breakfast bar doubles as additional counter space for Moonlight Theater Lodge’s well-equipped kitchen. From stainless-steel refrigerator/freezer and oven/stove to Keurig coffeemaker and blender to cookware and tableware, you’ll find all the accoutrements you need to cook up a storm. In addition there’s a gas grill on the deck, along with a patio table, so you can cook and eat alfresco. The fresh mountain breeze makes everything taste better!
Yet another gathering spot is upstairs: a large den in the airy loft. Along with a TV and plenty of carpeted floor space for the kids to spread out with their toys, it features 2 roomy sofas that open into queen-size beds, turning it into a bedroom for 4.
One of the 3 master bedrooms is also on the loft, with the 2nd on the main floor and the 3rd downstairs. Each includes a luxurious king-size bed, a TV, a soothing ceiling fan, and best of all, a jetted tub. What a perfect place to escape for some private pampering!
One of the large rear decks has a hot tub as well, if you’d like to soak with friends while gazing out over the verdant woodlands. As well as the hot tub, dining table, and grill, the decks include rocking chairs so that you can admire the sunrise in the morning and look out for constellations at night.
Moonlight Theater Lodge’s other amenities include 3 full bathrooms—one for each bedroom—and queen-size sleeper sofas in the great room and the home theater, so that the lodge can sleep 14 people in all. What’s more, it has free WiFi, cable TV, and a washer and dryer.
The resort it’s a part of, Alpine Mountain Village, has numerous amenities of its own. In the summer you can splash about in its outdoor swimming pool, then laze poolside afterward. Little ones will love the playground, and everyone can enjoy the walking trails and the covered picnic pavilion.
The resort is less than a mile from Pigeon Forge Parkway, home to the Titanic Museum, a huge Tanger outlet mall, WonderWorks, go-karting, dinner theaters, and more. And in less than 15 minutes you can drive from Moonlight Theater Lodge to Dollywood, Parrot Mountain and Gardens, and Gatlinburg Golf Course, among other attractions.
With its prime location, gorgeous setting, and numerous luxuries, Moonlight Theater Lodge promises to be the home base for a dream vacation. Make that dream a reality: Book your stay today—before someone else beats you to it!

Clean inside, dirty outside
Our first impression of the cabin was a little concerning. I understand that we can not control birds landing on the porch. However, I do believe the cleaning crew could wipe off the bannisters that you hold on to walking up the front steps. Also, the outside of the cabin needs much attention. The windows are extremely dirty and huge spider webs everywhere. We were pleasantly surprised when we entered the cabin and found it to be clean. It offered everything our group needed for our stay. However, I must share that there were burned out light bulbs throughout the cabin. The kitchen track lights only half burned making it not enough lighting. The fridge would not close properly without removing a shelf on the door. Also, the shower heads in all bathroom were horrible. I feel like this cabin is only being cleaned and not getting the attention it needs. This was a great area to stay and very convienant to activities. It was a nice size for our party of eight. If these things listed were taking care of, we would give it another chance.
Regina, thank you for taking the time to share your review. We apologies for the issues you encountered during your stay. We have a24/7 on call service department that would have been happy to take care of issues, such as burnt out bulbs during your stay. Again, thank you for sharing and we look forward to having you stay with us on your next trip to the Smokies, giving us the opportunity to exceed all expectations.
Great group cabin
Clean, very nice. Multiple outlets for entertainment.
Thank you for staying with us Linda. We are glad you enjoyed your stay.
Moonlight Theater Lodge was very nice!
We had nine in total staying and had plenty of room! The pictures were accurate but parking 3 cars was a little tight. The road was steeper than it appeared in the picture. There were many parking spots around but I wasn't sure which belonged to our cabin. We did have an issue with the door lockbox not working. At midnight they sent maintenance out to let us in and he came back in the morning to replace it. I really enjoyed the closeness to the parkway and yet felt like we were far. You really don't need to bring much to this cabin. We had every utensil, baking pans, bowls, etc. that you would want. We even had plenty of trash bags, toilet paper, paper towels, soaps, towels, extra blankets, pillows, and sheets. I brought so much stuff that we didn't use. You just never know what might be supplied. The home theater was awesome but a challenge to figure out all of the remote controls. It was very quiet even with the cabins fairly close. When we were leaving my family said they hoped we get this cabin again next year.
Thank you for staying with us Tracy. We are glad you enjoyed your stay.
