The 19th Hole, a 5-bedroom, 5-bathroom lodge, is so named because it is less than a mile from Bent Creek Golf Course. But you don’t have to be a golfer to appreciate its numerous advantages.
Let’s start with the view, which is simply spectacular. The 3 rear decks look out over old-growth trees toward the Smoky Mountains. It’s a view you’ll never tire of, which is why the decks are furnished with numerous rockers, chairs, and tables. The middle deck includes perhaps the best vantage point: a roomy hot tub.
If you prefer to soak among steamy jets of water while indoors, you’re in luck: 3 of the 19th Hole’s bedrooms have their own Jacuzzi. When you return from a day of hiking, biking, or golfing, you can pamper your tired muscles in the privacy of your bedroom. All 3 of these spacious bedrooms also have a TV, a ceiling fan (so restful, even when you have the air-conditioning on as well), and ample storage. Two of the bedrooms include a king-size bed, while the 3rd has a full.
The other 2 bedrooms located in the open game rooms and are furnished with twin-over-full bunk beds that can each sleep 3 people. One set of bunk beds shares its space with the bumper-pool table. The other pair is located just off the game room. The kids in your group will definitely beg to make this their bedroom: The game room includes pool, arcade, and air-hockey tables, as well as a large sitting area. When the kids aren’t playing with the Xbox 360 here, the sitting area is a lovely, sunny spot to curl up in an armchair with a book or to stretch out on the sofa and take advantage of the free WiFi.
Another living area makes up part of the great room. Like the rest of the 19th Hole, it features lustrous wood-planked ceilings, floors, and walls, punctuated with large windows and French doors that allow you to revel in the scenery even while inside. The living area’s 3 sumptuous couches are grouped around the flat-screen TV and the fireplace. It’s sure to be a favorite hangout on chilly winter evenings.
The theater room is sure to be another favorite space to congregate. You can watch a movie on a large screen with surround sound from the 8 cinema-style seats and 4 additional stools behind a counter. Once you relish a private screening here, you might never want to visit your local cineplex again!
The 19th Hole’s convenient location means you have a wide variety of restaurants nearby. It’s not always easy to find an eatery that can accommodate a group of 20, however. Fortunately the lodge’s dining room has 2 large tables and a counter so that the whole gang can eat together. Just as important, its kitchen is equipped with all the appliances, gadgets, cookware, and tableware you’ll need—plus there’s a large charcoal grill outside.
The 19th Hole is located within Gatlinburg’s private Cobbly Nob neighborhood, itself part of a 1,000-acre resort. Along with scenic and serene walking trails, the neighborhood offers 3 pool areas, complete with poolside chaises and changing rooms, that you can access for free throughout the summer.
Another benefit of being within Cobbly Nob is its proximity to local attractions. In addition to the Bent Creek Golf Course, designed by Grand Slam champion Gary Player, the 19th Hole is close to Climb Works, where you can explore the mountains via zip line or mountain bike. Within a 15-minute drive are the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Community. And just a bit farther is downtown Gatlinburg, home to the Guinness World Records Adventure, Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, arcades, thrill rides, and the tram that carries you over the town to Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park and Ski Area.
One thing’s for sure: When you stay at the 19th Hole, you’ll never be bored. Book your stay today. We look forward to seeing you!
