Bring your family to this comfortable and spacious home on Rossi Hill near the entrance to Deer Valley. They will enjoy the ability to walk over the side of the hill and down to Main Street, Park City in eight or so minutes (our kids timed it) and you can drive to Deer Valley Resort or Park City Resort in even less time. Because this home is situated between Old Town and Deer Valley everyone will have plenty of options for where they want to go and what they want to do. The free bus service stops at the bottom of Rossie Hill. Our twenty something kids, who snowboard, sometimes walk down (and back up) to go to Park City Resort..... but not me. I ski and unless my skis and boots are corralled at Deer Valley I wouldn't walk to the bus (or back). In the warmer months it's doable but we still recommend having a car unless you are really fit. The air is thin.
This is a nice, older home in a prime location off Deer Valley Drive. Not too fancy (except for the baby grand piano and the sauna) but plenty of room to stretch out and relax after a day of mountain activities.
The living room has a 47" smart TV with surround sound, VHS, and BluRay DVD. (I know, only 47" but you didn't really come here to watch TV, did you?) Put some logs in the wood-burning fireplace and relax. Go to the wet bar in the piano loft (BYOB) and get a cold beer, a cocktail or a glass of wine for your spouse (and anyone else you like) and everyone have a seat in an overstuffed chair or sofa. You can watch the fire, have a conversation and listen to the piano (you did bring someone who plays, didn't you?). Or, you can take your plastic glass out to the new and upgraded hot tub for a soak (You soak, not the glass. The plastic glass stays on the side). If you play your cards right, all of this is going on while the kids are sledding down the hill at the end of the cul-de-sac fifty yards away. Plenty of sleds for all, no arguing.
The fully equipped kitchen allows for home cooked meals with a dishwasher, trash compactor, cooktop/oven, microwave, toaster oven, toaster and coffee maker.... or... you can discover a multitude of dining options for nearly all tastes on Park City's Main Street..... Or just have it delivered. The dining room seats eight and there are three more places at the kitchen table. Also, there is a folding card table and four chairs in the utility room.
All of the bedrooms have smart TV's so, if you have to, you can. WiFi works well throughout the house.
There is a new heating system and there is now A/C as well, thanks to global climate change.
All of the bathrooms have redwood shower and tub surrounds. Very unusual. Almost like being on a classic yacht. However, there is wear and tear on the sink counter tops and the shower tiles but it's all clean and please let us know if you find it otherwise. We try hard but no one is perfect.
The master bedroom suite has a king and a large walk-in closet
The second suite has a queen and a huge walk-through shower which is also the access for the sauna. (Used to be an exercise room). If you're the couple in the group that is going to sauna, try to get this bedroom.
The third bedroom has a queen and shares a bath containing a tub and separate shower with the fourth bedroom which has two twin beds.
The loft has a bunk bed and two twins and uses the combo tub/shower bath downstairs off the entry.
There is a two car garage with two openers but if you get a big car only a smaller car will fit in with it. There is plenty of additional room for cars in the driveway and on the street.
If you're in the house in the winter and it snows, John, the house manager, will be there early if you call him the night before and tell him a time you need to leave. We don't have a heated driveway. Heated driveways are nice, but once the city plow goes by someone has to shovel the mound at the end of the driveway. (On the other hand, maybe that's what the kids are for) Yes, there are shovels in the garage.
If it's not winter, or even if it is, there are hiking trails just uphill and across the street that lead to more trails that lead to..........
Park City is a fun place whenever you're here. Within a half-hour drive of the house there are multiple opportunities for golf, tennis, fly fishing, water sports, snowmobiling, tubing, cross country skiing, and more. There are miles of hiking and biking trails. In the summer there are all kinds of concerts and shows. And in the winter, of course, Park City is a host of the Sundance Film Festival and within an hour drive of eight major ski resorts; two of which you can almost waltz to from the house. Amazing! And it only took you fifty minutes to get here from SLC. Aren't you lucky?
Please read the house rules and contact us with any other questions about the house. We're happy to help.
P.S. Our home is located at the very far left of the location map circle.
