Visiting the quirky and unique JAMESTOWN MERCANTILE, locally called the “Merc” (in continuous use since 1902) is a must for all visitors. It has a unique reputation that extends far beyond the local area and is a destination for touring bands and artists, visitors and cyclists. It serves excellent food, local beers, and hosts a range of musical groups 2 or 3 times a week ranging from folk, bluegrass, rock, singer/songwriter or open mic nights. Visitors can keep up to date on current events and menu at the Merc by googling “Jamestown QT” and checking out the local forum or phone the Merc on 303-442-5847. This local eatery features live music most nights of the week, good cooking, and scrumptious breakfasts on the weekends. This building contained the Mercantile store in the 1800s, which sold provisions to the local miners who came prospecting and panning for gold! You will have a golden vacation at Octavia, so come on over to us and be among our very first guests!
