About Jane Evans
Third generation owner of Noddsdale, my husband and I returned here in 1993 and have been building the holiday letting side of the business gradually.
Jane Evans purchased this Apartment in 1922
Why Jane Evans chose Largs
My grandfather created the East Wing for guests and it is quite different to anywhere else you will ever be! It is full of character.
What makes this Apartment unique
100% refund if canceled at least 14 days before arrival date. 50% refund if canceled at least 7 days before arrival date.
Noddsdale is 2 miles from the centre of Largs but is set in 200 acres of mature grounds of gardens, woodland, farmland and has marvellous views from the top of the hill behind the house. Bring your walking boots or wellies!
The Firth of Clyde has 3 main islands, Arran is the largest and is sometimes known as Scotland in miniature. It has a distillery at Loch Ranza at the north end, Brodick Castle in the middle and a mountain to climb called Goat Fell. There are golf courses too and a ferry ride takes about an hour from Ardrossan which is about a 30 minute drive south of Largs.
Catch the ferry from Wemyss Bay to Rothesay on the Isle of Bute where you can catch a bus to Mount Stuart House which is quite extraordinary and well worth a visit. Cumbrae is the smallest of the inhabited islands and the ferry is a 10 minute ride from Largs. Hop on the bus to Millport, hire a bicycle and ride around the island of 11 miles and stop for the obligatory ice cream on the way round. The smallest Cathedral in Britain if not Europe is in Millport!
