4 Batson Quay is a cosy and quintessential mid-terrace fisherman's cottage, that has been renovated and fully refurbished to a very high standard. The Cottage is located opposite the village green, in the centre of Lower Batson, with wonderful views down the creek towards the estuary. Salcombe town centre is a only short level walk away.
The Cottage is cleverly divided over three floors and comprises two double bedrooms sleeping up to 4 guests, sitting room with log burner, kitchen, wet room with WC and separate dining with double doors leading onto the outside patio and private gardens.
The front entrance leads directly into a snug and comfortable sitting room with a small sofa, two armchairs, TV and log burner. The room has window seats looking out towards the Creek. This opens out into the kitchen area with bespoke fitted units, small attractive worktop, Belfast sink, ??? oven and hob fridge and freezer??? To the rear of the kitchen is a bathroom with wet-room, basin & WC. A rear door provides access to the garden. Narrow stairs lead up to the first and second floors. On the first floor is the main double bedroom with metal-framed double bed, small bedside tables, wardrobe and drawers, with tremendous views over the creek. The adjoining dining room has table and chairs for 4 guests. There are double doors leading out into a private and secluded garden, with table and chairs for outside dining. Stairs from the dining room lead up to the top double bedroom (built into the eaves) with ??? for storage.
The garden can only be accessed through the cottage. A rear door from the kitchen leads to steps up to the garden. Alternatively the garden can be accessed from the first floor dining room. The rear garden is very quite and private. There is a large patio (decking and stone) with bistro table and chairs, surrounded by mature shrubs and trees.
Nearby is the beautiful harbour and estuary, ever popular with all water-sports enthusiasts, whilst the lovely beaches of North & South Sands are both close. Further sandy beaches at East Portlemouth and Millbay can be accessed via a small passenger ferry that runs from the town all year round. A free public slipway is opposite the Cottage.
There is parking is for one vehicle. Further parking is available at additional cost in the nearby long-stay car park. The cottage and location are ideal for one/two couples looking for high quality accommodation within quick, mostly level access of the town.
