Exceptionally located in Plaka, the house is only separated from the ancient site of Roman Agora by a narrow road and that gives it the feeling of actually being almost inside the site.
Roman Mansion I is actually constructed on two thousand year old foundations in the heart of the historic center of Athens. It is a spacious, very bright and carefully renovated mansion of 350m2, arranged on 4 levels. With an admirable view of the north side of the Acropolis Hill, Roman Mansion I is exclusive, spacious, with large high ceilinged rooms elegant, finely furnished and offers every comfort for an unforgettable stay.
The 1st level features a magnificent double-height reception-library and living room, a space which is actually part-ancient, marked by two Roman walls. On the same level, lies a spacious landing and the downstairs bedroom of the house with its en-suite bathroom.
On the 2nd level is the kitchen and the dinning-sitting room. The kitchen is formal and extremely stylish, combining chestnut wood cupboards with Pentelikon white marble and a beautiful antique marble fireplace. It provides every modern comfort. The dining-sitting room is finely furnished with antique furniture and an antique marble fireplace.
Between the second and the third level there is a landing with the guest’s bathroom.
On the 3rd level there is an enormous master bedroom with an authentic Venetian bed and with a fabulous balcony with views of the surrounding antiquities and also the red bedroom going out to an intimate private terrace.
The spacious attic bedroom on the 4th level goes out to a very private terrace, appropriate for sun-bathing. The terrace is observatory like, with a 360° view of the city, its adjacent ancient sites and the surrounding mountains. It also features the sauna and the Jacuzzi of the house.
