NICE WEEKEND GETAWAY
THE HOUSE WAS CLEAN , NICELY DECORATED. REALLY ENJOYED THE SCREENED IN FRONT PORCH. OUR PROBLEM WAS WITH THE TV ; UPON ARRIVAL THE TV DID NOT WORK. BY THAT NIGHT THE PROBLEM WAS RESOLVED-----CABLE WAS FIXED. WE ALSO EXPECTED TV IN THE BEDROOMS WHICH THEY DIDNOT HAVE.
We are sorry for the issue that arose with the cable service, which was out of our control, and happy it was resolved promptly. Having received only 5 star ratings until now we regret that the TV issue alone seemed to have driven the 3 star rating.
Extremely clean and adorable. Perfect place to stay.
They’ve thought of everything! So comfortable, cozy and clean. We absolutely loved this home.
Beautiful, well equipped, comfortable home decorated in elegant beach theme
My mom and I recently stayed in this wonderful house for a few days, and were so happy with it. I brought my mom to Rockport for a trip down memory lane. My parents met and married in Rockport and went to great lengths to plan their forever home while my father served as the postmaster in the early 1960's. After a few years, my father took a new job, and we moved away. Although we've been back to Rockport many times, it's been a number of years since our last visit. After Hurricane Harvey, my mom was wanting to return and see the house and many other landmarks and buildings that were so important to her. We spent several days driving around looking, and visiting with the few friends who are still living in the area. The house we rented was a home away from home, that helped us feel that we were in town visiting old friends, instead of staying at a hotel.
The house was beautifully decorated and we had everything we needed. It was centrally located, which proved very useful as we were touring the town. Though we didn't cook much, the kitchen was very well equipped. The two queen bedrooms were perfect for us, and having everything on one level was great for my mom. There were just a few stairs to go up to the porch outside. The television was a little complicated to operate for non-tech people such as us, but Gary was readily available to help answer questions. Most of the neighborhood has well kept properties, but be aware that the house across the street is a bit of an eyesore. We weren't bothered by it, since we were in and out so much, but it's good to know that upfront. There's nothing that the owners can do about that, but it's clear that they've done everything they can to provide a comfortable, elegant retreat with their beautiful cottage.
Cozy beach cottage.
Really nice place to stay. Comfortable furniture, inside and outside. I loved the screened in porch and the covered parking. The keyless entry is one of many cool features. The location is close to Main St. and the beach. I would stay there again as I truly felt at home.
House was amazing and so cozy! Loved the front porch and how close the house was to everything!
Thanks for staying at our home. You were great guests and we would love to host you again.
Beautiful and comfortable place to stay!
This house was perfect for two couples with two large bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. We did a lot of cooking and were pleased with the well stocked kitchen. Although it was hot, we enjoyed sitting on the porch to play cards. Usually there was a nice breeze but a ceiling fan and drying rack (for wet swimsuits) would have made the house even better!
We had a great time and made some wonderful memories. Thank you for sharing this beautiful house.
Thank you for your kind review and suggestions. Would love to host you again
