There were about 25 of us using the big house and 2 of the cottages. Ages from 67 to 1 year. The beach was very clean and plenty of room for our family. The kitchens were spacious and well stocked for all we needed. There was room for the kids to play and we didn't have to worry about them going in the street. The grounds were very nice. The young adults took full advantage of the fire pit every night after the parents and children were in bed. We rented a boat and had our own Wave runner. We had a blast. Memories were created that will last a lifetime.
Southwest Michigan is a major center for fruit, vegetable, and grain production. Summer visitors can pick/buy from local farmers. Asparagus, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, peaches, apples, grapes, corn, tomatoes and pumpkins are but a few of the wonderful taste treats that can be found near the Hilltop. The Driftwood, a short walk down the road, is that old time ice cream shop that brings people back year after year.
