Excellent communication with owner. Beautiful setting and relaxing villa. A hidden gem. Being able to play with the dogs was an extra delight for us!
Thank you Clive was nice to have you and your family in our house.
Beautiful and peaceful
Private, well furnished, quiet, well maintained. Lovely all around.
Beautiful rustic house in the middle of nature
We had a fantastic time staying at Claudios house. The house and grounds are nestled in the middle of the forest high on a hill that overlooks the land around the ancient city of Todi.
Every morning we were greeted with the sight of Todi rising majestically above the clouds, a perfect way to start your breakfast! The light is incredible and the grounds are ample.
The gravelled path to the house takes about 8 minutes to drive and can be a bit bumpy. You really are out in the middle of nature, with only the sounds of the cicadas at night and stars beaming down. This all adds to the feeling of remoteness, perfect if thats what your looking for but could be a little too remote for some.
Todi and all it's fabulous restaurants are about 25 mins away. Theres a small shop at the bottom of the track, that covers most things and a couple of big supermarkets around Todi itself.
The pool is amazing, huge and really well kept. There is plenty of land around the house to play games, etc. The only negative and it is a small negative, is the pool is situated about 30 metres away from the house, which is great to give some space but slightly annoying if you just want to nip in for a refill. It's also up a slight hill, so older guests may find going backwards and forwards a struggle. You just have to bear all that in mind and bring what you need. Theres a nice shaded area and of course the views are amazing.
We also had some lovely guests in the form of the owners dogs, who were great company and made it feel more homely.
I highly recommended stay
Retreat in heart of Umbria
This house is in a central location of Umbria, is beautifully decorated and has a great floorpan to relax in. The house felt like a retreat with incredible views and wide open garden spaces including a pool. We watched air balloons take off on the valley floor and the fog roll away in the mornings and the lights of Todi come on at night.
The house has a caretaker and housekeeper who made our stay even more special. They are very warm and responsive and are the frosting on the cake for this location.
Fantastic hill-top house, set alone in the forest. Amazing views out over Todi.
A great place, well equipped. Fantastic for kids as the whole place was fenced in and completely on its own, with large well maintained gardens. Pool is at the top of the hill overlooking the house and the view over the Umbrian countryside and the hill town of Todi. We also visited Orvieto, Spoleto, Perugia, and even made the drive down to Rome for the day from here.
Raccomanderei questo villa a qualunque - è fantastico, il giardino e la piscina sono ottimo! Grazie Claudio!
Thank you David and your beautiful family enjoy the rest of the summer Claudio
