About Marfie Lavendier
We relocated to midcoast Maine in 2013. We absolutely love our new community and all that Maine has to offer. We love being on the water and buying this property has fulfilled a dream that we have had.
Marfie Lavendier purchased this Cottage in 2016
Why Marfie Lavendier chose Nobleboro
We looked at several lakefront properties. When we drove into the yard of this property we were taken with the proximity of the cottage to the lake as well as the spectacular views from every room in the cottage. The expansive view sold us on this place.
What makes this Cottage unique
The simplicity of the cottage and the amazing views made us love the place immediately. It's not fancy but it has everything you need to unplug from the fast pace of life and recharge your batteries. We love being there with our family - enjoying the water and just hanging out together.

Absolutely Perfect! My idea of a lake cottage doesn't get much better than this...
What a wonderful place to call home for a week during the summer. The location is remote but still not too far of the main roads from downtown Damarisotta or neighboring Waldoboro.
The lake was absolutely stunning. Can't believe how little boat traffic and use of the lake given how close it is to Rte. 1 and how many houses are on the lake. We had no issue launching our small fishing boat at the public launch and mooring it at the dock at the camp. Fishing was good, had luck with large mouth bass, yellow perch, white perch (crappie) and even one pickerel. And our 9 month old puppy had a blast on the boat for the first time.
Aside from spending time on the lake, there is so much within a short drive that is worthwhile checking out in mid-coast Maine. There is plenty of hiking at Mount Battie in Camden and even made our way down to the shops in Boothbay Harbor. Can't forget to stop at Red's in Wiscasset on the way back either.
We felt like we were at home and thank you again for letting us stay at your beautiful cottage. We will be back, I am sure of it.

Wonderful camp, perfect hosts
My wife, daughter, and I just returned home from a wonderful week on the lake at the camp. The camp is perfect: clean, full of everything you need to make your stay enjoyable, and very comfortable. The lake is so clear and deep. Swimming was awesome! We can't wait to come back next year! Thanks Marfie and Joe!
Joe, Robin, and Cora (and Juno the yellow lab, too)
We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay. Thanks for leaving the camp so clean! We hope you will come back again!
A beautiful and quiet location that gets the afternoon sun. Easy access to stores and things to do.
The cabin was immaculate and large enough for 4 adults. Everything we needed was supplied. We enjoyed the water, both to swim in and just to look out on. It is a great vacation spot. The hosts are very generous to let others share the enjoyment this lakeside cabin.
We are so glad that you enjoyed our camp. We think it is a pretty special place for getting away and relaxing.
Classic Maine camp
We really enjoyed our visit. The camp is so cute. It had everything we needed. We cooked a lot and appreciated the well-stocked kitchen.
The beds were very comfortable and it was so quiet at night. A lovely spot.
Our lab had so much fun jumping off the dock! He slept well.
We took quite a few day trips. We went to Pemaquid lighthouse, Dodge preserve, LaVerna preserve, Boothbay Harbor, all within 30 minutes.
Marfie was a great host and very responsive.
Would definitely return!
Thanks so much for the great review. We are so glad that you enjoyed your time even with less than great weather! There is definitely a lot to do in our area and it looks as though you took full advantage.
Wonderful lake cabin, great location
Returning for a stay on Damariscotta Lake after many, many decades away, I can happily say that this cabin reminded me of all I’d loved from childhood vacations nearby: the familiar rustic exposed wood walls and ceilings, cozy interior, cheery fabrics, ample room for four adults (plus one extra on sofa for a few days), well-appointed kitchen. Perfect location down a winding dirt road through the woods, with plenty of privacy from other neighboring cottages, and a fantastic lakefront to greet us each morning (along with the loons.) Weather was perfect our week: we enjoyed sailing our Sunfish and paddling kayaks from the dock, along with daily swims and lounging/reading/napping in chairs and chaise under the trees- just heavenly. Marfie and Joe outfitted the cabin with everything we could need, including a great puzzle selection (and good WIFi, to catch the end of the World Cup via our laptop!) We loved exploring the town and region again - many things are still as we remembered them. We could not be more pleased with our stay— thank you!!
We are so glad that you had such a wonderful stay at our camp. It really is a special place and we feel so lucky to call it ours. It sounds like you took advantage of everything in the area. There is so much to do. We think you had the best week of weather so far this summer! Thanks for the great review!
Wonderful cabin on the lake
My husband, daughter, and I had a very relaxing week on Damariscotta Lake. The cabin is very nice! With vaulted ceilings and wood interior, windows over-looking the lake, and very comfortable beds, we were charmed. We sat on the dock, enjoyed the view, and listened to the loons. It was early in the summer when we were there, so the water was still chilly, but it was nice and quiet on the lake! The weather was cool and rainy for a few days and we were glad to have the heater in the living room. There were plenty of quilts to keep us warm at night. The location of the cabin is well off the main road, yet there's easy access to sight-see. We made trips to Boothbay Harbor and walked the trails at the Dodge and Laverna preserves. It always felt good to return to the cabin and relax in the comfortable living room with books and games.
Our cottage is located in the heart of midcoast Maine. There are many wonderful attractions within an hour's drive. Visit the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay or the Maritime Museum in Bath. Camden and Rockland are within a short drive as well. Venture down the Pemaquid Peninsula and visit the lighthouse. Enjoy the great restaurants and shops in Damariscotta.
