Absolutely amazing view, and extremely clean house
Check in was easy. The level of cleanliness is top notch! I’ve never stayed in a cleaner place. We were very impressed with everything, from all of the little things, to spotless rooms and bathrooms, to the breathtaking view. The property is pretty private which is nice. Hot tub was a plus! We enjoyed going in there in the mornings as we looked down at the little town. Overall experience was amazing! We’d recommend this beautiful house rental to anyone! Mahalo
We absolutely loved this place. It was quite, relaxing and so very very nice. We enjoyed how well stocked the kitchen was. We were able to buy fish and other things locally and cook which is something we love to do. If we ever come back we will definitely stay here.
Beautiful, peaceful and comfortable.
We loved our stay in this beautiful home. It is just as beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside, which is gorgeous. The neighborhood is quiet and the views of the ocean, the lava rock, and the surrounding village created a tranquil place to relax. The location is perfect if you want to stay in a quiet neighborhood, and travel about 30 to 45 minutes north for Kona and about 45 minutes to an hour south to go to Volcano and Volcano National Park.
You definitely need to plan ahead in terms of food. There aren’t that many places nearby. The kitchen is very well appointed so you can do as much cooking as you want in the home.
We especially loved the Jacuzzi. We used it almost every night and a couple of mornings as well. There is an outdoor shower which is so convenient. Bonus—there were geckos every single time we used the outdoor shower!
We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful place to stay outside, but nearby, the hustle and bustle of Kona.
The only thing that was challenging about this location is the road leading from the main road to the home. It is incredibly twisty and some of the the locals speed in both directions and cut the corners with little care.
Beautiful home with expansive views of the coast.
This is a bright, new modern home. The location is south of the busy and more expensive Kona area. It sets high on the mountainside and the views are spectacular inside and out. Great kitchen with modern conveniences and gas grill outside made meals easy and enjoyable. We loved the hot tub and the patio! There was a bit more rain than usual but we sat in the hot tub anyway. Very, peaceful! When the sky was clear the starry, night sky was awe inspiring. Take the road down ti Milolii and the state beach but then park and hike the trail to the black sand beach. We had it all to ourselves. Just be careful to look for and follow the signs in order to respect the locals property. Most of the 20 minute walk is through the jungle not along the shore. If you go the wrong way they will politely direct you to the right path but I'm sure they get tired of having to do so. Passes a sacred site and some cool scenery. Take drinking water, bug spray and reef friendly sunscreen. Owners of this property were available when we needed them. Games to play for the family and binoculars to look for birds. Amenities really too numerous to list. We recommend this rental if you want a quiet, slightly secluded place to spend your vacation. Comfortable for four people at least. No tripping over each other. We will definitely stay again on our next trip to the Big Island.
Mahalo to the owners for sharing their beautiful space!
This home is beautiful with an amazing view! The spa was fantastic to relax in. We enjoyed our stay. The only drawback for us light sleepers was the Master bedroom not having a door. Would highly recommend this beautiful clean home!
This property is amazing!!
Our stay in Gail's rental was absolutely the best ever!!! We stayed for one week and enjoyed every minute of it. From enjoying our morning coffees on the patio watching for whales to awesome sunsets in the evening. The local beach became one of our favorites, however, it was easy to get to Two Step and Captain Cook's. Easy drive to Volcano Park and beyond. So much to enjoy that we did not get to cover all of Big Island. This means, of course, we're coming back!!! A must stay if you prefer the quieter life.
