About Patricia Graham
We bought the cottage because our son was studying at St Andrews University and the town is a lovely place for either a day trip or a few nights stay as it is not too far from where we live in Glasgow. Our daughter is about to start at the university and is looking forward to living in the cottage during her time in St Andrews.
Patricia Graham purchased this Cottage in 2012
Why Patricia Graham chose Saint Andrews
My son and I looked at several properties but Forgan Cottage had a very nice atmosphere about it and we could see it had potential to be a fabulous holiday home and place for him to stay when he is studying. It is only a very short walk from the town centre but also has plenty of free parking outside. It is centrally located for either the West or East sands which was important as we have a dog.
What makes this Cottage unique
We have fully refurbished the cottage and it is extremely comfortable either in summer or winter. New central heating and continuous hot water make it a cosy place to stay even in the depths of winter. The garden at the back which has just been newly landscaped in 2019 looks onto the Kinness Burn which is a lovely feature in the summer. We love spending time in the cottage as it has an extremely relaxing feel to it.

Extremely well-set up place, ideal accommodation for visitors to St Andrews.
We did find the 13.5 tog duvet provided for the main bedroom much too hot, and would suggest that for summer visitors a much lighter duvet (or blanket + top sheet) should be provided.
Hi thank you for your review.
I'm sorry we were unable to provide a lighter duvet at short notice. The majority of our guests are from abroad and find our Scottish weather quite chilly.
Golf getaway for 5 gents in St Andrews
Plenty of space. Ample hot water. Great location to town and golf. Beautiful back yard. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the town of St Andrews.
The cottage was our perfect home for graduation week. It’s was an easy walk to town and right next door to a lovely hair dresser. Even though there’s only one shower, no one ever had to wait. The sheets were lovely and we enjoyed having a washer and dryer for our clothes.
Beautiful comfortable cottage.
Our stay was wonderful and relaxed. The cottage was very well equipped and the kitchen had everything needed to prepare meals. The bedrooms were very comfortable and large. The bathrooms also very modern and very clean. The cottage was only a short walk into St Andrews which was a bonus. We would certainly not hesitate to recommend this cottage and we would stay here again.
Thank you for your review, we look forward to having you to stay on your next visit.
Cozy Cottage close to Town Center
Enjoyed the stay at the cottage, very clean, comfortable and cozy. Easy walk to surrounding restaurants, shops and pubs. Highly recommended. Patricia answered any questions I had about my stay at the property and responses were very timely. Great host and communications via email. I hope to stay at the cottage again on my next visit to Scotland.
Thank you for your review. We are always delighted when guests are happy to come back and stay at Forgan Cottage on future holidays.
Lovely home from home!
Great holiday home for the family, wonderful location, would definitely recommend :)
The cottage is ideally placed a few minutes walking distance from the town centre with its excellent selection of shops, restaurants, pubs, the famous Byre Theater, cinema and leisure facilities.
The west sands beach, world famous golf courses, golf museum and sea life aquarium are an easy 10 minute walk to the north of the cottage. The east sands, harbor and leisure center are a 10 minute walk to the east of the cottage.
There are numerous golf courses within 20 to 30 minutes drive and the Old Course Hotel and Fairmont Hotel have luxury spas.
