We're a military couple with our first ever vacation rental. We feel we have thought of everything for your stay and hope it will be everything you expected. Located 12.6 Miles (20-25 Minutes) from the Airport and less than 1/2 a mile form Anchorage's military base (JBER), this newly remodeled duplex has a convenient floorplan, new furnishings, HE washer and dryer, and a touch of Alaska in every room. Cable (Direct TV) and Wi-Fi included. In addition to the two queen beds, we also have an inflatable queen air mattress that is elevated so you wont have to sleep on the floor. We can sleep 4 comfortably, but if you plan to have more than 4 guests the inflatable mattress can be inflated in the living room (which lets in a lot of light at night). Large custom windows flood natural light throughout. New cedar fence installed for your children or pets. This home is centrally located and just off Alaska's one major highway with off street parking for 2 vehicles. Hop on the road and head to any of Alaska's naturally beauties. Check in time is 3pm and check out time is 11am. We have tried our best to make this home as cozy as possible with all "hotel" amenities. We have everything from kitchen utensils, to hair dryers and ironing boards. My wife and I are confident if you plan to stay at our home you will thoroughly enjoy your visit.

About Lucas and Heidi
My wife and I are a Military couple. We are both Active Duty Air Force. We have two daughters (ages 2 and 4) and want to give them the best life possible. We are originally from Ohio and have been stationed on the East Cost, Gulf Coast and Midwest. I am an outdoors guy and my wife is really into health & fitness. We have lived in Anchorage for the passed 4 years this is our first time renting our place out to vacationers.
Lucas and Heidi purchased this Townhome in 2016
Why Lucas and Heidi chose Northeast Anchorage
We bought this property because we fell in love with Alaska and no matter where the military sends us we will always have a home in Alaska to come back to. We ultimately want a remote cabin, but it will always be nice to have a place in the city to come back to reconnect with society :)
What makes this Townhome unique
When remodeling this home we tried to think of everything we always needed or wanted while on our vacations. We feel we put a lot of thought into the place and will have all your basic needs covered. We even got in touch with a local amateur photographer. All the photos in the unit were taken in Alaska, by an Alaskan. It gives the place a real feel for where you are in the world.

Stayed here for a week and when the big 7.0 earthquake hit Anchorage! That sure was an experience! On the other hand, I loved staying here! There was a bit of a problem the first day but the owners made sure it was taken care of quickly. I would definitely stay here again! There was one thing that scared me, was we heard gunshots that sounded like they were right outside. That’s not something I’m used to. Just something to consider but overall I loved the place. It was nice, clean, spacious and full of accommodations. Owners will take good care of you as well.
Nice place. Easy access to everything.
Okay for one night
Okay for our one night stay. Front bedroom had an unpleasant smell. The sheets did not smell fresh. Fortunately there were clean sheets there so I changed them. If not for this, i could have rated higher.
Clean and convenient to downtown. A nice space to stay in Anchorage.
Thanks for staying with us. If there was anything we could have done or could do in the future to make this stay 5 stars in your opinion please let me know. We want all our guests to leave 100% satisfied
Nice place and helpful owners
this is a duplex and the lady next door does the cleaning. She's very helpful and does a great job. The place was clean and easy access to the highway and only about 20 minutes from the airport. We left two cans of bear spray there as we couldn't get them home and the owner shipped them to us. Very helpful.
The only downside was the traffic outside was loud. Bring some earplugs for sleeping and you'll be in good shape!
Hey Travis, thanks a lot for choosing our place to stay. Sorry to hear about the noise you experienced. You are the first guests to share this with us. We will definitely take a look at what you experienced. I'm sure we'll find a remedy.
Sweet little house in Anchorage!
Loved the house, and were able to relax after an overnight fishing trip down in Homer. Loved that the fish storage place was right around the corner to store our halibut and rockfish! PJ was awesome and very attentive to our needs. Definitely recommend to anyone visiting Anchorage. So much to see and do there!
Anchorage is the Heart of Alaska. Everything/Everyone comes through here. There are so many possibilities for you just outside the door. With so many activities right at your fingertips it's hard to describe just a few. Anchorage is home to some of the best trails a city has to offer. Flattop Mountain being the most sought after. It's a day hike where you can overlook the entire Anchorage Bowl. Just 30 Minutes North or South and you can find even more beautiful trails with less crowds. The drive down to Girdwood (has a lot of great hiking) is one of the most beautiful drives you will ever take. The 45 minute drive has countless photo pull over spots where you can capture some of the majestic scenery. I have personally seen mountain goat/sheep many times along the rock wall. If you think you are running into a traffic jam, don't suspect an accident. More than likely there is wildlife on/near the road and people are stopping to photograph. One of the most missed opportunities in Anchorage is the Princess Tours and the Alaskan Railroad. They have single or multi day trips that can take you on a scenic ride South to Seward, and all the way North to Denali National Park. Check out there amazing trips for more info. There are deep fishing charters in all 3 fishing towns (Whittier, Seward & Homer). Also if you are interested in trying your luck with the legendary Chinook (King) Salmon, they are caught right here in town at Ship Creek. Ship Creek also offers the opportunity for Coho (Silver) Salmon and Trout. If fishing isn't your thing, leave your spouse down at the Creek and walk (.25 mile) to the downtown shopping scene. Every weekend in the Summer the downtown market is filled with specialty vendors looking to show you what Alaska has to offer. We hope you'll choose our place to stay while you visit. Thanks.
