This classy second-floor apartment is situated in an historic building beside The Scottish Storytelling Centre, the first purpose-built building for live storytelling in the world, on Edinburgh’s famous Royal Mile. It therefore offers easy access to the Old Town’s renowned attractions, and is flanked by the landmarks of Edinburgh Castle on one side and Holyrood Palace, Our Dynamic Earth, and Arthur’s Seat on the other. It is in an excellent location both for attending performance venues and watching street performances during the world’s largest arts festival, the Fringe, each August.
Parking is limited in the city centre. Paid on street parking is available on the side streets off the Royal Mile. Parking time is limited to just a couple of hours though and no parking is available on The Royal Mile itself.
There is a newsagent on the corner of Jeffrey Street, just a couple of doors down from the property. M&S and Sainsburys on Princes Street are ideal for groceries.
Edinburgh is a bursting historic capital with a long, and at times, bloody history. On the Royal Mile, you are right at the heart of what is the Old Town and there are a host of things to do – all on your doorstep! Here are a few of our favourites…
If you’re into the ‘Arts’, August is one of the best times to visit Edinburgh, as it’s ‘festival time’. It’s a busy time of year for the city, so be prepared for queues and make your meal reservation in advance.
Please turn lights, heating and underfloor heating off when vacating the property.
Please ensure all windows are closed and the door into the flat is fully locked with keys.
**NO smoking permitted inside the property.**
