Spectacular setting high in the Andes mountains minutes where spring is eternal
About Steve Hitte
I am retired and live in Atlanta, GA. Enjoy traveling, motorcycling riding and entertaining.
Steve Hitte purchased this House in 2010
Why Steve Hitte chose Cotacachi
After years of business travel to Ecuador (flight attendant) we wanted to experience the magic of this country and the warmth of its people on an ongoing basis so what better way than to invest in this country.
What makes this House unique
Views of 2 dormant volcanos from front and back of house, watching hummingbirds lite on the flowers and the eternal spring like weather make our home a wonderful place to enjoy year around.
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
A very nice home-away from home
A great stay and pleasant experience. The house is spacious and includes a sun room for a warmer sitting area alternative. The location is just close enough to walk into town and for all needs, and access to touring as well.
A piece of paradise
The house is wonderful. The caretakers are great. The propriety is amazing. The community is just right. The only draw back from an awesome stay is the bugs. My wife's favorite spot was the sun porch. Thank you very much for the stay. All in all I would recommend it. Jay Ungard
Thanks for the kind words. The "bugs" I believe being referred to are tiny black bugs found in the grass (similar to chiggers in the US). They do not affect everyone (wife yes; me no) and if you stay off grass or wear long pants with socks and shoes they should not be a problem.
In Otavalo on Saturdays, there is the largest indigenious market in South America. In Cayamba there is a tourist attraction literally on the equator that college students run to learn clestial information. Outside Otavalo there is Condor Park where views are spectacular (yes you will see a South American condor). Can provide other information upon asking.
