Very comfortable and accommodating
I was in Boulder to teach and my husband was flyfishing. This was a great place for us to stay. Easy access to all parts of the city and quick getting into nature. Our space was clean and comfortable. You wont want to cook extensive meals but very nice having a kitchenette and large fridge. We would stay here again.
Affordable stay in central Boulder location
Just returned from a weekend with my sister at this property. For the price (we are both frugal and relatively low-maintenance), this was a great place to shower and sleep after two full days of exploring downtown Boulder and Chautauqua, which we were able to access on foot. At night, it was nice to come home to a very clean bathroom and Netflix. The owners were extremely accommodating in that they provided early check in, great restaurant and activity suggestions, and supplies for morning coffee.
There are some improvements that could be made to the property. First, there is only one tiny mirror in the whole place, in the bathroom above the sink. This was not sufficient for two adult women putting on makeup, etc. A full-length mirror anywhere in the apartment would be a great addition. Second, and most importantly, the bed is extremely uncomfortable. The mattress is old, sagging in the middle, and you can feel the springs. As much as I loved the town, I cannot wait to sleep in my own bed again. The bed is also fairly rickety. So a new mattress and sturdier frame would be a great improvement. Third, there is an odor of mothballs when you first come in. Over time, you get used to it and don't notice it, but I do want to mention it in case this could be an issue for anyone.
Overall, we were satisfied with our stay, but the above-mentioned issues are what led to a four- instead of five-star rating.
Had a great time staying here. We were welcomed with a basket of snacks and fresh flowers. They also have delicious Sumatra coffee, but contacted us earlier to provide any type of coffee and milk that we wanted. Entry by door code was convenient. At night motion activated lights turn on so you can see where you are going. We got to meet Jaclyn in person and she recommended some things in the area. We met their cat and dog during our stay. Both were friendly. Entire place was clean. The space was just right for the three of us. We loved the large TV in the living room with use of their Netflix and Amazon video subscriptions. Check out was super easy. They took care of cleaning up. We just had to make sure to return the parking pass. Only suggestion would be to put a few extra hooks or shelves in the bathroom. Would stay here again if in the area.
Great property in an excellent location
The hosts gave us a warm welcome and offered good advice to help us make the most of our stay in Boulder. This property is really cute and it was perfect for our needs. We were pleasantly surprised by the location: a beautiful quiet street, not far from downtown Boulder. Would definitely stay there again!
Great Location - comfortable and clean
The house is located in a very beautiful well established neighborhood. The owners were friendly and available if needed. Comforts included nice robes, slippers, great living, relaxing area, basic kitchen amenities and washer & dryer were a plus. We stayed for 5 days and were comfortable and warm on some very cold days. This is an old historic home so it will have some noise issues from floor creaks and such. All in all I would rent this again.
Nice boulder place near college campus, town of boulder, and many great hikes
This homeAway is located quiet neighborhood which is conveniently near UC Boulder for visiting parents, and near downtown and many hiking trails for exploration of the area.
The basement unit provides a comfortable living space, well equipped kitchen, bath, and cozy bedroom.
The owners were very attentive and easy to work with. Looking forward to renting again.
