Enjoy outside dining with a gas grill on your private awning-shaded deck. Watch the golfers or enjoy this tranquil scene from your living room, dining room, kitchen, or master bedroom with its private French door leading to the outside. The view is fabulous and this is a FIRST FLOOR VILLA with no steps. Just walk out your front door.

The large master bedroom includes a private sitting area and king-size bed. The master bedroom offers a double vanity and a large shower with jacuzzi tub. The guest bedroom is furnished with twin beds and another TV. The villa offers a large eat-in kitchen as well as a dining room. A wet bar and fireplace compliment the living room which includes a queen-size sleep sofa.

Evian offers the most green space and park-like settings of any community in Shipyard. It has the ambiance of Old Europe with its large trees, stucco villas, and pinstripe awnings. The private pool and six tennis courts (with lighting for night play) are situated around a private lake with small bridges, benches, and gazebos to complete the picture. These are only steps away from your villa.

One of the best beaches on Hilton Head is only a short walk from our Evian villa. The Van de Meer Tennis Center, miles of bicycle trails, and lagoons throughout add to the beauty of this private, gated island setting. This is the closest building in Evian to the beach. Evian is the preferred community within Shipyard for year-round living as well. Shipyard is one of the best locations on Hilton Head Island with Sea Pines, Harbor Town, Shelter Cove, shopping, restaurants, and the arts only five minutes away.

Central location on Island, spacious, great value!

  • 4 of 5

First, Shipyard is a great community and is centrally located on the island. This unit is in a beautiful setting on a lagoon that then overlooks the golf course. We loved the French/European design of the buildings and the way the buildings are set apart and set back from each other your back deck views are beautiful and private, unlike other sections of Shipyard, at Evian you don't feel like you are on top of other units and having to look onto other's decks. Beautiful open views and great bike paths right out the front door.

The unit is very large and open inside. Brand new carpet throughout and very clean. Master is very large and I loved the love seat in the corner with 2 adjoining corner windows providing beautiful views each morning and providing a serene reading nook. Master bath newly upgraded and 2nd bedroom is very roomy. My husband and I, son, and grandson, spent our first Thanksgiving away and we could not have been more pleased with everything. The owner was SUPER easy and pleasant to work with, quick to respond, and wonderfully gracious about our travel dates and accommodating our dog too ! We enjoyed ourselves so much we contacted the owner and requested an extra day and she responded back immediately and was very accommodating and made that happen for us.

This is an end unit, I think a wonderful plus, and it is one of the closet units in Evian to the beach...a 10-12 minute walk, 4 minute bike ride, or you can drive in 2 minutes to the community Beach Club and park if you are wanting to cart a lot of things to the beach. We loved biking every day within the community and discovering the wildlife. Shipyard is so close to grocery stores and great restaurants and very close to Coligny Plaza too. Again, cannot say enough about the central location. This area of the Island and specifically the beach is less crowded and bigger beach than the Sea Pines area. Would return and highly recommend this place.

Solid affordable option in HHI

  • 4 of 5

We stayed here for the long labor day weekend. Unit is very spacious and the 5 of us were comfortable evedn during an indoors day of toretial rain. Bathrooms are quite nice, beds comfortable, and the covered porch has a lovely view of the course. Location of place is great - 10 minute walk to beach, 3 by bike and beach club has every amenity imaginable...

Minor issues are the lack of a gas grill and the slightly worn living room furniture and paint . Not a big deal but would have been annoying if we had paid a premium.

Very nice home for vacation, minor complaints

  • 4 of 5

Stayed with wife & 8 year old daughter. Home is very nice, short walk or bike ride to very nice pool area. Miles and miles of paths for us to ride our bikes on every day. Home is very clean. Awesome TV in living room. I do have two minor complaints about the home. The door leading out to the covered porch is a pain in the you know what! It is very hard to turn the top knob on the door in order to open this door. It was just a pain because it really was hard to open every time, not just every so often. Also, my biggest complaint about this home, and mostly because it is listed on the advertisement listing on VRBO, is the gas grill, if that is what you want to call it. It can be very expensive to dine out EVERY nite on HHI, so our plan was to grill out 3 or 4 times during the week. If you are even able to get this grill lit, I would not cook food on it for a person I don't care for. The cooking area is disgusting! First of all, you cannot even get this grill lit, and the tank had plenty of gas in it. Believe me, it does not lite, I tried like 3 different days. That was kind of a disappoinment too me. I love grilling! I think they should take the info on the ad about the grill off or think about a new grill. Not that big of a deal I know you are going to say, but it was to me! Other than that, the place is very nice and Patricia was very nice to work with in setting this up.
