3 bedroom cabin with lots of nice level river frontage
Our comfy cabin is nestled alongside the big water of the Toccoa River in a very private, heavily wooded setting. Level easy entry into the river makes it easy to fish, tube, kayak, or just sit around the fire pit and relax as the river runs by. The cabin is so close to the water that you can open the large sliding doors in the great room, master bedroom and family room and let the sound of the river lull you to sleep. You'll feel like you stepped back in time with the authentic rustic furnishings, custom artisan built primitive rustic kitchen with modern appliances, original hardwood floors, real masonry fireplace, EXTRA comfortable beds, windows everywhere to take in the total privacy of the lush hemlocks, white pines, rhododendron and mountain laurel surrounding the cabin and the spectacular up close view of the beautiful big water of the Toccoa River! Its deep enough to be a trout fisherman's paradise yet just right for the kids to wade and play in! You can sit by the fire pit right alongside the river and roast marshmallows, cook hotdogs or just hang out and enjoy the peace and quiet.
Our cabin is located on the upper Toccoa just a short distance from Deep Hole, Coopers Creek, Rock Creek, The Swinging Bridge and the Chattahoochee National Forest Fish Hatchery so you'll never get bored during your stay. You can put your tubes or kayaks in the river up above the cabin and enjoy a peaceful float right down to the cabin or take a short drive to one of the many waterfalls in the area. There are beautiful hiking trails all around. After you've explored nature for a while you can take a short drive into Blue Ridge and explore the many shops, restaurants, wineries and more. Our cabin is also just a short, picturesque drive to Vogel State Park, Woody's Gap Overlook and so much more.
All beds are very comfortable and well appointed with fluffy pillows and high quality bedding. You can sit on the huge screened porch on the main level or the huge open porch on the terrace level and relax the day away in the comfortable Amish rockers or glider. The master bedroom is private on the main level and the other 2 bedrooms are on the terrace level. The master bedroom has a king bed, the "fish room" has a queen bed and a set of bunks, the "deer room" has a queen bed and there is a single bunk in the hallway just outside the deer room. There is also a brand new queen sleeper on the main level if you want to keep the little kids close to you at night.
The kitchen will make you feel like you stepped back in time with the custom artisan built cabinets made to look distressed and topped with granite counter tops. You will find absolutely everything you need to prepare a home cooked meal or enjoy something you grilled outside. You can dine at the kitchen table or take your food out to the screened porch and sit at the outdoor table and chairs so you can enjoy the beautiful surroundings while you dine.
For your indoor enjoyment, you will find lots of books, movies and games to keep you occupied when you aren't out enjoying nature. There is a toy chest and foosball table in the downstairs family room as well as a PS 2 with several games. There are TV's in the great room, master bedroom and downstairs family room with DISH TV and also high speed internet. Since cell phone reception is spotty at times, we also have a landline with unlimited long distance.

About Christy Tumlin
We have owned this little piece of heaven for over 11 years and made many great memories with our children and grandchildren. Due to our busy schedules now, we aren't able to use it as much as we'd like so we have decided to share it with others. We live about two hours south of the cabin and run to the mountains when we need a little getaway from life and can feel ourselves start to unwind as soon as we lay our eyes on the beautiful blue ridge mountains off in the distance. We lovingly refer to our cabin as "the sleeping place" because after a long work week, we throw open the sliding doors and nap like crazy to the sound of the river!

Why Christy Tumlin chose Suches
Extremely comfortable!! That's what all of our friends and family say about our cabin. It is home away from home! It's situated right in the heart of many great fishing areas, hiking trails, waterfalls, etc. You will never get bored exploring! Our cabin is the perfect choice for families wanting to unwind and let their kids play in the river or catch fish for their dinner. It's absolutely a dream for those you love to kayak, canoe, tube, fish or just splash around in the clear, cool mountain water.
What makes this Cabin unique
Our property borders USFS land so you can enter the river at our place and fish up the river for miles through public land. We have caught many huge trout over the years in front of our cabin and just a few steps up the river from our cabin.

Relaxing River Retreat
Cabin is nice and homey
Nadine,
First, I am truly sorry that you had issues but I must say that I don't understand why you didn't call me immediately. In all of my correspondence prior to check-in, I make it very clear that I can be reached at anytime and will do whatever it takes to make sure that my guests are completely satisfied. It is very important to me that my cabin be clean and that my guests are pleased. Out of 24 reviews, you are the only one that has every had an issue about cleanliness or had anything negative to say and I assure you that if I had known there was an issue, it would have been addressed within an hour of hearing from you. My cleaning lady lives near the cabin and I actually did contact her before your arrival and had her go by and check on things since the cabin had been empty for about a month during the winter. When you have a cabin tucked away in the woods, regardless of what you do, sometimes a mouse finds its way inside, especially if the home has not been occupied and it’s really cold outside. I can assure you that this issue has already been addressed. Upon reading your review, I immediately had a pest control company go out and check the cabin and was told that it is extremely common for a mouse to get inside during cold weather and that there was nothing to be concerned about with our cabin. As to the cleanliness, our cleaning lady came highly recommended and as you can verify yourself, we have never had a bad review before and have actually had many comments about how clean the cabin was. I don’t know what may have happened this time but I have spoken with her and she is going to pay extra close attention to the appliances and floor going forward. She bought a new vacuum cleaner that she has been using on the wood and concrete floors and thought it was doing a good job but it seems that she may need to use a broom instead if you noticed sand on the floor. Again, I am sorry that your experience was less than great and I’ll be happy to refund your cleaning fee if needed. Thanks, Christy
I loved staying at the cabin! It feels like home as soon as you walk in!
Great family getaway!
A great Thanksgiving get away
