Nice cabin, bad check in experience
Cabin was very nice. Could use a skillet that holds more than 2 eggs. Was very disappointed with check in, told check in was after 3:00, arrived @ 2:30 & told it should be ready little after 3:00 so we informed them we were going to Kroger to get groceries & would be back. Was then told it would be about another hour, could not get keys until after 5:00 & didnt get into cabin until 6:00.
The cabin was clean throughout couldn’t keep the grandkids out of the hot tub on the screened in porch. Cabin was convenient to pigeon Forge and Dollywood.

Christmas trip with my Mom
Had a great time. Enjoyed the cabin. I had an issue with the door leading to the back deck from the kitchen. Had to keep turning the lock on the knob several times and keep twisting the knob before it would actually open. Suggest it be replaced.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We appreciate your feedback on the lock. We do appreciate you staying with us and look forward to welcoming you again in the future.
The cabin needed some work for sure. The upstairs bathroom had a blue mildew ring around the toilet floor under the vinyl. The shower curtain was a $2 curtain from Wal-Mart that was torn away from the rings in some spots. I have pictures of both. The problem here is most likely the rental company. For what we paid for a week, you might think they would provide more than 1 garbage bag, and more than half of a travel size bottle of dish detergent. Quite disappointed with Fireside Rentals. We come to the area 2 times per year, and have never stayed with them. We have stayed in much more individualized cabins with a more homey feel for far less during peak times. Won't be back to Fireside!
Our family enjoyed our stay immensely. The location was great. The staff directions were easy to follow. The screened in back porch/patio was our favorite place and we spent every morning and every evening sitting out there, enjoying the time. The only drawback was the air hockey table was located upstairs where master bedroom was, but not a huge issue. Driveway was not too bad, no trouble getting in and out. Overall the location between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg and cleanliness of cabin 5 stars.Would stay there again.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are so very glad you enjoyed your stay and appreciate you staying with us. We look forward to welcoming you again in the future.
Clean and cozy, but, watch out for bear, especially if you grill out!
We really did have a wonderful time together, my son, mom and myself. We spent time in town and at Dollywood. Great location. Cabin is clean and cozy. When searching for the perfect cabin, amenities were a must for my 13 year old son. The Xbox was a big factor in our selection. The cabin review in Fireside Chalets said the Xbox was hooked up to the big screen tv in the living room and the whole family could play. However, it was hooked up to the small tv in the smaller bedroom downstairs and there were only a few games instead of the 100 that were advertised, as well as only one control. I do recommend that you do something about the location of the outdoor trash cans and also secure them better. They are currently on the front porch and just a few hours after we arrived there was a black bear on the porch pulling them out before we even had trash in them. We had grilled dinner that night, so, the smell probably lured it in, however, it appeared to know exactly how to open the container the trash was in, as if it had done that before. This definitely kept us from grilling again. It would have been much better if the location of the trash cans would have been away from the front porch, then we would have felt better about going outside. Other than that, the kitchen is nicely stocked and we really enjoyed the screened in back porch.
