About Thomas Sheridan

Nancy and Tom designed and built this house in 2011. We could not be happier here and just love the property we have appropriately named "Belleview". We feel quite lucky to have found this wonderful slice of solitude and beauty. We designed a level of the house that we could use for family and friends as well as share with new friends via rental opportunities. We came up with the idea for 50's Diner motif and it has taken off. We tried to put fun into all of the guest space. We look forward to sharing it with others.

Thomas Sheridan purchased this house in 2011

Why Thomas Sheridan chose Asheville

Nancy has lived in the Asheville area for over 25 years. When we met in 2009, we wanted to find property on a mountain facing west so that we could share the sunsets. Neither of us imagined finding a piece of property this beautiful. We love the rural feel of Busbee Mountain but we also love that we can be in downtown Asheville or to the airport within 15 minutes. We have worked hard to transform the landscape and could not be prouder of what we have built. Our guests call it mood-altering.

What makes this house unique

With the rural setting and proximity to the Blue Ridge Parkway, we see lots of wildlife - turkey, hawks, deer, chipmunks, raccoons and the occasional bear. We have had several mamas and her cubs come through the property to eat from the bird-feeders and drink from the water features. And of course we always have our two cats, Ricky & Lucy, patrolling the property. They love their mountain home.

With a large vista of the valley from Mount Pisgah to Weaverville and mountaintops visible out to Tennessee, the weather and views are ever-changing. Mornings above the clouds, storms moving across the valley and spectacular sunsets are common occurrences at Belleview. Mood-altering indeed.

Best view and best host and hostess

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I are new empty nesters and took our first trip to Asheville. Nancy and Tom are delightful! Thanks for all of the tips for navigating Biltmore Estates. The view will take your breath away!! The rental was so clean and the decor will make you smile. We highly recommend this unit if you want the best of everything. Lisa and Jay

Beautiful property!

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay. It sits on almost the top of the mountain which gives it a beautiful view. We didn't realize initially the the owners stay full time in the upper story, but this was no problem at all with the private entrance and separate deck.

Great Views & Service!

We rented this place for the views and were not disappointed. The antiques used to decorate make the place more interesting and comfortable. The hospitality was great! It made our first trip to Asheville a pleasant stay.

Perfect in every way !

  • 5 of 5

From the time you enter you realize that you didn't book enough time. From the games and 50's fun of the diner to the valley below, like little kids we couldn't decide what to do first ! Every morning and eve we looked for our friendly turkeys and bears. The view of from the top of the mountain was incredible. it takes no time at all to get to Biltmore Village or downtown Ashville. Uber even comes up there if you don't want to drive! Exactly as described. Tom and Nancy were extremely friendly but didn't hover. so the perfect mix of seclusion and a friendly chat. We loved it!

Amazing time!

  • 5 of 5

We had such an amazing time!! The diner was a fantastic touch and had EVERY ammenity you could imagine! Even when the once-a-decade storm with freezing fog came into Asheville on NYE, Nancy was a gem keeping us in the loop and helping us be able to leave on New Year’s Day! We are definitely planning our next trip to stay and would highly recommend staying there to anyone!
