The Retreat on the Toccoa River is the ideal vacation get-away. Whether you want relaxation with ultra comfortable living or recreation with hiking, fishing, kayaking (just a few of the nearby activities), you'll be more than satisfied with your stay at our cabin.
Located in the Chattahoochee National Forest, our cabin is close to the Appalachian Trail and a variety of other hiking venues. Nearby waterfalls are spectacular, not to mention the star lit skies straight from a planetarium that you can view on clear nights. Listen to the water rushing over rocks in the Toccoa River while you relax on our outside deck or patio.
Our very spacious 3 bedroom cabin is fully equipped with everything you'll need to be comfortable and feel right at home. The condo duplex sleeps 8 people with separate living areas on all three levels for relaxation and socializing.
On the main floor: a master bedroom with king-sized bed, closet and bathroom. A modern, fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite counter-tops. A family room with floor to ceiling stone fireplace, comfy seating and a flat screen TV with satellite service. Access to the deck overlooking the Toccoa River with chairs and tables. In the dining area there's a table and chairs for family meals and gatherings. Also enjoy wi-fi connection.
On the upper level: a loft with a round table and seating and a stash of books and games. A bedroom with a queen bed and bunk beds with a full-sized bed on the bottom and twin bed on the top. A second bathroom and very large closet.
On the lower level: a third bedroom with a queen bed. A third bathroom. A large second family room with 2 twin beds, an air-hockey game table, TV and comfy seating. An outside patio porch with swing and hot tub.
In the recreational area by the riverside there's a fire pit, grills and grassy area where you can throw your Frisbee, play corn hole toss (available in the cabin), or toast marshmallows.
For outdoor lovers, you can kayak, fish, wade or tube in the crystal clear water of the Toccoa River right in your backyard.

The Swinging Bridge over the Toccoa River: Hikers can park on Highway 60 and take the Forestry Service Road or you can drive down the service road if you'd like to be closer to the bridge.
The Chattahoochee Forest National Fish Hatchery: a great place for fishing enthusiasts or nature lovers.
Sea Creek Falls, located in Cooper Creek Recreational Area, features a wading pool at the bottom of cascading falls. Adventurous souls can climb the steep incline to view the mid-point or top of the falls.
If you want an excursion to the quaint near-by towns, consider Blue Ridge and Blairsville to the North West or Dahlonega to the South. Here you'll find boutiques, excellent cafes and first-rate restaurants, antique and craft stores, and historic features such as the still operational Blue Ridge railway. You'll also find opportunities for additional recreational activities such as horseback riding and white water rafting.
