Why Owner chose Jardine
This house is so close to town but gives you the feeling that you are truly in the wilderness. Wildlife frequently visits us, and hiking is within walking distance, if you don't want to deal with a crowded park. Cool breezes waft through the windows in this higher elevation Mountain location.
What makes this House unique
Traveling to the house affords you the opportunity to go through the old gold mining "town" of Jardine. Many of the log cabins you will see are currently occupied and have been on location since the Gold Rush. The house also gives you an excellent view of the old Gold Mining operation and is a fascinating experience. There are also some secret fly fishing spots on Bear Creek, if you can keep your line out of the trees.

House with a lovely view overlooking the hills
Six members of my book group stayed in this house while we explored Yellowstone.. There were plenty of beds, bathrooms and seating area for all of us. We Especially liked sitting outside on the deck looking at the hills and the horses. I would not recommend arriving at the house for the first time after dark, which we did. It was a little difficult to follow the directions in the dark. But once we had made the trip up the first time, the rest of our comings and goings were very easy. The downstairs could use a mirror that is not in the bathroom. The only issue we had with the house was that, although we were logged into the Wi-Fi, we were unable to log into the Internet. This is a great house for large groups and we enjoyed our stay.
Nice home in country.
Best cabin in the mountains!
So far this cabin has been the best we've ever been to. Plenty of room for big groups. There is WiFi and Direct tv, the washer and dryer worked perfectly. Great for stargazing!
Great place to stay!
Family reunion went off perfectly. Entry road is a little difficult but well worth it. Close to the north entrance, you can see Mamonth springs from the deck. Far enough away that you avoid the traffic. Overall great place and spectacular views.
secluded comfort close to Yellowstone
Bear Creek Overlook was the perfect property for our large group!! The little kids really enjoyed playing on the large deck and it was great because it was a safe place to play. Some of us arrived late at night, and the road up to the house was steep and a bit daunting, but worth it! Very quiet with beautiful views!! And only about 15-20 minutes to Yellowstone north entrance. Natalie and Kevin were very helpful and responsive to questions, too. We were so busy I didn't have time to write in the guest book, but we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay!! Thanks for sharing your home with us!
Great week in Jardone, MT!
Wonderful house in an absolutely beautiful location. Pictures and descriptions of property very accurate. It was great to have peace, quiet and privacy while being close enough to town and West Yellowstone to enjoy the full Montana experience. I would recommend this property and owners to anyone looking to visit the area. Thank you!!
Hike out your back door! Trail heads and national forest roads close to the home
