Perfect for families, a few friends, business travelers, and solo adventurers.
This is a 100% NO SMOKING property.
We celebrate the diversity of our guests!
This guest suite has been recently upgraded with new flooring and paint throughout, new bathroom fixtures, comfy queen beds and blackout blinds in the bedrooms. Enjoy the stocked kitchen, and comfortable, modern furnishings and linens. We can set up a single bed in the living room if you need it (please let us know well in advance). You will also have your own washer/dryer with detergent and iron/ironing board. In addition to the basics in the kitchen, you'll find a Keurig coffee machine (and French press if you prefer that), an electric kettle for your hot drinks.
We have two school-age children who don't always have the quietest feet so. When we are home and awake you will hear the sounds of an active family above you (ear plugs and a white noise machine provided in both bedrooms for your comfort!). We get going on our day early and are settled down by mid-evening.
You will have access to the entire lower level of our family house - a 1,000 sq ft 2 bedroom, bright unit in a 1922 craftsman style home, (complete with squeaky floors and a family upstairs). You’ll have a unique keyless entry code with deadbolt.
The Roku enabled smart TV has local channels as well as access to your Amazon, Netflix, and Hulu accounts.
We live with our 2 kids inside the house on the floor above and will be around often. So, we are often available if you need us but will respect your privacy.
We have a few extras for those with littles. Let us know well in advance if you'll need a pack 'n play. You'll find a few plastic kids cups and plates as well as baby toys to explore. And, in one of the bedrooms you'll find the rocking chair we rocked our babies in.
When you arrive we will try to greet you in person as we like to meet our guests and provide a nice welcome.
Street parking on the block is free (not metered) and usually available. Might be a challenge to find only 2-3 days a year when there is a major event in the neighborhood.
If your flight arrives earlier in the day and you’d like to drop your luggage before doing some exploring, we offer an exterior shed where you can lock it up with your own lock.
We are proud to share that we will not discriminate against potential guests based on gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, religion, race/color/ethnicity, national origin, age, marital or disability status. If you are respectful and we feel we can provide you with a great experience, we will happily host you!
We love our up-and-coming, transitional, authentic Seattle neighborhood. Georgetown is a small neighborhood that has been described as having mastered bohemian blue-collar chic with rail yards, antique shops, artistic beatniks, hipster families and a creative artists' "trailer park mall" every weekend.
Seattle's oldest neighborhood, tucked into an industrial section of the city, is now a destination for tourists and locals alike who come to discover good food, cool bars, wineries, breweries, and fun and creative activities all within less than a mile. Let us know if you need suggestions!
Don't miss these highlights in and near the neighborhood: giant and historic Hat 'n Boots at Oxbow Park, Fran's Chocolates (especially a production tour!), Sandbox Sports, the Museum of Flight, and the high end Starbucks Revere store in their corporate headquarters.
Guests are expected to be respectful of us and our neighbors at all times.
Please keep our home in the condition you found it by disposing properly of garbage/recycling/food waste and starting dishwasher upon check-out.
If an accidental breakage or spill happens please let us know promptly.
